What is the difference between cloud Z and Cloud Q?
The Cloud Z i-Size differs from the popular Cybex Cloud Q in that it is i-Size compatible when used with the base. i-Size regulations require a higher level of side-impact protection and the Cloud Z features what Cybex calls Linear Side-impact Protection (LSP). The Cloud Z is also 15% lighter than the Cloud Q.
What is Cybex Aton Q?
The Aton Q is part of the CYBEX PLATINUM line and is a completely new product that incorporates the latest advances in safety technology. Together with the height-adjustable headrest and the safety-belt positioner, the Aton Q provides the highest level of safety and comfort.
How long can a baby stay in a Cybex car seat?
All other CYBEX infant car seats can be used for children up to approx. 18 months old. The Sirona series of car seats can be used rear-facing from birth up to 15 months of age, and then either rear-facing or forward-facing up to four years of age*.
How long can baby sleep in Cloud Q?
The ability to lay flat on the Cybex Cloud Q will not only be more comfortable but also would allow you to use it longer. Most baby capsule are suitable from use up to 6 months only. However, the Cybex Cloud Q is suitable for use from birth to approximately 12 months.
Can Cybex cloud babies sleep?
A new function of the Cloud Q is that it can be changed to a horizontal position outside of the car. With a longer leg-rest and a lie-flat position, the child can lie comfortably and in an ergonomically correct position.
Can you use Cybex Cloud Q without?
Additionally, we’d prefer if the red tabs lock into place, since it’s possible to install Cloud Q without the base while the seat is reclined. This is strictly prohibited by Cybex, and for good reason! Putting the car seat and the child in a position prohibited by the manufacturer could result in injury or death.
Is CYBEX Aton Q FAA approved?
The Aton Q is FAA-approved, but only if you use the carrier. Leave that heavy ol’ base installed in the car and practice up on your carrier-only installs. Think about it: the airplane seat belt buckle would interfere with the belt tensioning plate on the base.

When can babies forward face in car?
While 1 year and 20 pounds used to be the standard for when to flip car seats around, most experts now recommend using rear-facing child seats until children outgrow the top weight and height recommendations of the car seat manufacturer. This means your child may be rear-facing until well beyond their second birthday.
