Oh fall…I can’t believe you’re finally here. Even though it doesn’t feel like it because L.A. is in the middle of a heatwave. But, that’s OK. Because, I am in a fall kind of mood when it comes to my shopping! And I have a few things brewing in that department. 10 favorites as a matter of fact.
If you follow me on social media, then you know that I was recently in New York. I was invited out by Lane Bryant for a blogger discussion. More on that to come later. But, during this meeting I had a chance to sit at a table with LB President and CEO Linda Heasley. We talked about a lot of things, including a discussion about styling flare jeans. Funny thing was, I actually had a post drafted before I left for this trip. This was just a sign that I had to follow through and write about the latest denim trend.
Pendant necklaces have always been a personal favorite of mine. It seems like everyone else is feeling them too. They are one of the latest jewelry trends and I’m loving it! You’ll find them layered, in gold or silver, different stones, and various shapes. And don’t worry about how to wear them, this is a necklace that’s pretty easy to style.
I’m in the mood for love, romance, and all things Valentine’s Day. Yes, I’m a hopeless romantic. What are you going to do with this girl? I can’t help it—I have a big ol’ heart. I just love love. And it’s during this time of the year, we’re usually bombarded with all things red. Instead, I’m easily inspired by the soft hues of pink, mauve, ivory, and gold.
The arrow can symbolize a whole list of things. One of my favorites is it’s meaning of “direction.” I think that’s something some of us can use in our daily lives. Or maybe that’s just me. How about we just jump in and enjoy the arrow trend as it makes it way into our shopping lives.
The holidays are here and if you’re like me, you’re in a daze. And you probably haven’t finished or even started shopping yet. If you’re that person, I’m here to offer a little gift inspiration with a holiday gift guide. Not just any gift guide either. This one is inspired by all things gold.
First…I apologize for the cell phone pics. It was one of those nights. As much as I love carrying around my huge camera, this was not the time or place. I had dancing to do! It was the Latin Grammy Awards after all! And I want to thank L’Oreal Paris for giving me two tickets to the show!
I love how my style is changing. I wear whatever I love and what I want, without feeling the pressure of following trends. I think that’s how it should be for everyone. Fashion should never be about wearing what others think you should. That’s why I love and appreciate my daring and creative fashionista friend Ivory (check out her blog here). She makes no excuses. She loves it, she wears it. And that’s what true style is about.
I’m back from Chicago and brrrrrr…it was chilly there and this L.A. girl loved it. After seeing everyone bundled up, I started to think about how you can stay warm, but look chic at the same too. How about a beret? I really like this Pins and Needles Basketweave bow beret from Urban Outfitters ($14.99). There’s no need to be afraid of berets like this, you don’t have to be in in Paris to wear one. You can find them in almost every accessory store during the fall and winter. And they vary in price and design. From embellishment’s like…
