OOTD: Living Grey in L.A.
Wow what a day…I spent the entire afternoon in Downtown L.A. learning about the art, music, and history of Los Angeles. I kind of felt like a tourist in my own city. It was an amazingly beautiful day. The top is by Inspired and my boots are Dollhouse. I’m wearing Torrid’s Sophia Blue Rinsed Skinny Jeans. They fit perfectly and I love that the waist is the right cut. I’m definitely not a low cut kind of girl. Do you prefer a certain cut over the other?
OOTD: Out with the Girls
I had an opportunity to hang out with some of my girls this weekend. After a long day, I didn’t want to wear anything too complicated, but I didn’t want to wear sweats out either. I decided to go with this beautiful Blue Crepe Lattice Cold-Shoulder from Torrid. I even threw my hair up in a high bun. I love the top, but after looking at these images, I feel like I should’ve chosen a smaller size. It’s supposed to have a flowy fit, but I think it’s a little too much for my shape. Now, this is something I’ve only … Continue reading
OOTD: A Night with Salt-N-Pepa
When I was in elementary school, I was in cheerleading and we put together a dance routine to “Push It” by Salt-N-Pepa. So innapropriate, I know! LOL! I’ve loved them ever since. Last night, I had the opportunity to attend a launch party for McDonald’s new Chicken McBites and guess who was performing? Yes!! Salt-N-Pepa!! I was too excited!! I didn’t know what to wear, then I remembered I had this jumpsuit from Torrid in my closet (not available). I threw on these heavy earrings from Forever21, ring from Torrid, and clutch from Dama Handbags. It was an awesome night. I … Continue reading
Style Trend: Polka Dots
It’s polka dot time again! Although the black with white dots color scheme is the original, you’re not limited to just those colors. Let’s get a little adventurous and try something a little different. You can find polka dots in lots of different color combos and sizes-from tiny to big. And if you’re one of those that doesn’t like to wear prints, you can grab an accessory like a shoe, scarf, handbag, and even an umbrella. No excuses! 1.MICHAEL Michael Kors via Saks Fifth Avenue 2.Ashley Stewart 3.Charlotte Russe 4.Sonia by Sonia Rykiel via Net-a-Porter 5.ModCloth 6.Muze via Nordstrom 7.Stop … Continue reading
OOTD: L’Oreal Paris Beauty Suite
This past weekend was a very L’Oreal Paris kind of weekend and I loved it. I wrote a recap about my Friday beauty experience here–> Getting Red Carpet Ready with L’Oreal Paris, it includes an awesome giveaway! I just wanted to post a few pics of my outfit. It was a very simple outfit with a pop of coral. I found this silk top while thrifting with my mom, it’s Lane Bryant. My jeans are Torrid and shoes are Steve Madden. It was such a great afternoon, can’t you tell by the smile on my face? LOL!
OOTD: Celebrating with The Curvy Fashionista
Hello my loves! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I did! I was invited to celebrate the 3-year Blogaversary of The Curvy Fashionista, here in Los Angeles. Marie is a good friend of mine, so I was more than happy to support her. Besides, it was an awesome party! It was filled with not only bloggers, but family, friends, models, designers, celebs, and fans. It was also a great way to meet up with a lot of my friends. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of the night, but I did snap a photo of my outfit. And if … Continue reading
Holiday Inspired: 3 New Year’s Eve Looks!
It’s New Year’s Eve-Eve! Woohoo! I don’t know what I’m “woohoo-ing” about, I’m still not sure where this chick will be when the clock strikes midnight. But, if I was going out, I’d definitely wear something along the lines of the three looks below. Simply chic with a pops of color is how I explain these outfits. And if you’re one of those last minute, running around the mall, and looking for something to throw together shoppers-then these should be easy to find pieces. My friend Ivory totally inspired the black and gold look. She has a vintage dress that’s … Continue reading
Christmas Eve Sparkles
OK…you’re probably sick of me and sequins by now! LOL!! But, to be honest, I’m not. I could probably wear them every day. It’s a sequin addiction!! Maybe it’s just the holidays and maybe it will pass after the new year. We’ll have to wait and see. Until then, this is the outfit I wore on Christmas Eve. Pennington’s sent me their Allover Sequin Tee and I love it. The only issue I have with it , would have to be my hair getting caught in the sequins on the backside of the tee. But, that’s the only thing. lt’s … Continue reading
Torrid and my Sequin Obsession
Will the obsession ever end? Really? Yes, more sequins and lots of sparkle. I wore this outfit for my dad’s 60th birthday party and I felt sassy. LOL! I did! Torrid’s Black Mesh Sequin Front Tank Top immediately caught my eye and I had to have it. The front is sheer, but adorned with sequins and beading. I love this top! I will admit this is my second time wearing it. I wore it to the Jay-Z and Kanye concert. I’m also wearing Torrid’s Boom Boom Jeans. These stretch trousers are an internet exclusive. They’re comfy and have a little … Continue reading
Adding some Sparkle to My Night
Finally an outfit post! I know I’ve been slacking when it comes to these. Sorry my loves! Last week I was invited to a holiday event at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. I was clueless as to what I was going to wear. This is totally a last minute outfit. There wasn’t a dress code or anything, so I figured I’d go with a casual look but with some much needed sparkle. I’ve had this beautiful Nordstrom Sejour sequin blazer for a while now and haven’t had a chance to wear it. Like a dummy, I kind of … Continue reading
