Fall is here and I’m sad to say that my wardrobe is not ready. As much as I wanted summer to be over, this procrastinator hasn’t really done any fall shopping. I blame it on the warm L.A. weather. Now, that I know it’s fall, there are five plus-size tops I want to add to my closet.
I think Los Angeles just got a few drops of rain. That and my continuing fall obsession with cardigans has kicked my need for “all things fall” into action. Yes, this includes a much-needed pair of ankle booties. I think I’ve found a pair I want, but there are a few other styles of ankle booties to consider for fall. Here’s my list.
When I found out that Lane Bryant was revamping their Lane Collection, I was anxious to see what they would come up with. Weren’t you? After renaming it to 6th & Lane, they’ve designed a modern and clean collection—one that I really appreciate. And after selecting a few pieces, I created the look below. COVERGIRL knows how to throw a party. Last night, they kicked off the MTV Video Music Awards with a pre-party featuring performances by Becky G and Jessie J. Yes, they are not only “Easy, Breezy, and Beautiful,” but they’re both extremely amazing performers. Total girl power! Watch the video I took of them both performing at the end of this post, which includes a cover of Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” and “Bang Bang!”

If you live in Southern California and are a fan of the Australian plus size retailer City Chic, then you’re going to love this. They have finally opened their first U.S. store location in Los Angeles and they have more stores opening soon! I was invited to an exclusive in-store preview—before they opened to the public.
Are you ready? Let’s go back to the 90’s. I just realized that was ummmmm…over 20 years ago. I’m proud to say I was killing it back then with my style! Thanks to my mom of course. I think what I loved the most about 90s fashion trends were the floral baby doll dresses and Dr. Martens boots. Yes, I went there. Well, just like all trends, they tend to circle back and this seems to be the style of the moment.
