Free People Clothing Boutique’s vintage-inspired jewelry has kinda made my heart skip-a-beat. Just look at these gorgeous designs! All of the pieces here range from $18-$38 (click on the pic for details). That’s definitely something I can get behind. I’ve never held the jewelry in my hands, so I can’t tell you about its quality, but it looks chic. Anyone out there ever buy from Free People? Please spill!

What an amazing weekend!! The Love Your Body Day (LYBD) events were everything and more! On Friday night, Nik from xoxo NikStar and I hung out at the launch party. It was held at Bar Lubitsche in West Hollywood. We met so many amazing women; models, entrepreneurs, a teacher, a florist, and more! There were so many curves in that bar! If you take a look at the pics below you will see all of the beautiful women…including the super sweet Denise Bidot.
My outfit for the night:
On Saturday, we attended the LYBD event, also in West Hollywood. It was hosted by America’s Next Top Model winner Whitney Thompson and Chenese Lewis. Love Chenese! This time Cid from Cid’s Style File came out and hung with us. We visited all of the amazing exhibitors, watched the performers, and drooled when the clothes hit the runway. It was an amazing and empowering day! If you didn’t attend this year, I highly recommend attending next year!

The always curvaliscious and sexy Kim Kardashian shows of her artsy side? Or rather her nude backside and front side in this month’s issue of W Magazine. The article is titled “Kim Kardashian: The Art of Reality.”
Talk about “loving your body,” she seems like she’s full of confidence! The first set of photos are from the web site, yet the second set are the ones that went to print in the magazine. The photos were taken by photographer Mark Seliger.

As you can tell, my brain never stops thinking about fashion! I’ve been craving a leopard print tote…bad! You’d really be surprised at the amount of super ridiculously expensive leopard print designer bags there are out there. As I was researching, I found some in the thousands! This M Z Wallace ‘Grace’ Tote is $425 at Nordstrom; not too bad compared to some of the others, but it’s still a “Bank Breaker” for me!
Now, take a look at the ‘SCHMUTZLER’ handbag from Aldo, which is on sale for $27.98! That’s a lot better for my budget! I think I’m ordering this bad boy!
It was nothing but gray skies today in L.A., just the way I like it! Yes, I’m a cold weather lover living in the City of Angels. I had a business meeting today, so I decided to try out my new Torrid Jayden Faux-Leather boots, dark denim jeans, and my Sejour Faux Suede Jacket by Nordstrom. The beautiful Nik of xoxo NikStar took my pics for me. She’s a doll! I was a little frustrated by the cowl neck on this top! I bought it at Macy’s a long time ago and don’t get me started on my hair. LOL. I was in a rush, so I went really simple with my jewelry; necklace from H&M, Fossil watch, and Lane Bryant bangle bracelets. The faux suede jacked was comfortable. It’s definitely not a warm weather jacket, but it’s a perfect fall piece. The boots are probably my favorite pair of shoes right now, but they are a little too high for me. No problem, I’ll just wear them more often to get practice. Don’t you just love giving yourself reasons to wear new shoes?!

Jessica London, a plus size women’s retailer, announced the launch of the “First Ever” plus size leather collection yesterday.
They promise an “unrivaled leather collection.” Their sizes run from 12 to 32 and will feature a large selection of “modern silhouettes in rich colors and chic new metallics perfect for the fall and winter seasons. Jackets, skirts and blazers are available in soft, elegant leather including must-have items like the classic blazer in five colors (with ribbed sweaters dyed to match), several coat styles in new lengths (long leather coat, leather trench, leather peacoat and ¾ length leather coat), a best-selling zip front jacket in copper, bronze and pewter metallics, and fresh contemporary silhouettes (leather bomber, “moto” jacket, aviator jacket and maxi length leather coat).“
They are even offering a special promotion called “The Extraordinary Leather Event.” Just in time for fall and winter, they are offering $50 off every leather coat and jacket. And that’s not all, Jessica London® is also offering 30% off one item to customers who place a web order using coupon code JLHOLIDAY (valid through 12/31/10). According to the press release customers can take advantage of both discounts on one order!
|“The Jessica London team has designed a beautiful leather collection featuring stylish, easy-wear fashions that can take our customers straight from work to a night out on the town.”|
Alloy is really setting the mood with these romantic pieces! The Isabelle Beaded Blouse (the first one) is my favorite! It’s so beautiful and billowy and yummy. I can’t resist that trio. And if you’re wondering, these pieces are all carried up to a XXXL. Yay! That makes this curvy gal very very happy!
Time does fly when you’re having fun! After returning from Blogalicious in Miami, I only had a day-and-a-half to get ready for my next trip. This time it was a 4 day mini-vacay to see my best friend (in the green dress) who lives in Maine. The last time I saw her was in May and I was definitely missing her. It was so strange unpacking my summer clothes from the Miami trip, then packing the fall clothes for the New England weather. Even though it was a bit chilly and it rained all day on Friday, I couldn’t help but stare at the gorgeous colors of the fall foliage as we drove to Boston. We went out dancing that night and had such a great time (as you can tell in the photos). I am always inspired by the curvy women when I visit other towns. It’s fun to see what the curvaliscious trends are in different parts of the country. For most of the trip I wore sweaters, skinny jeans, and UGG boots. Sorry, but that’s mandatory vacation gear for me. But, as you can tell I did dress up for the night out in a simple LBD and my Steve Madden leopard print pumps. And the striped cashmere eternity scarf I’m wearing was gifted by Marshalls. It’s soft, warm, and perfect for fall weather. After a long flight home, I made it back to L.A. safe and sound. I think I’m going to stay grounded for a while.
With all of my recent running around, I haven’t any time to really go shopping! I know! I’ve been super good when it comes to spending money I don’t have. It’s a serious problem…I know. I was even inches away from amazing deals at this Coach Outlet in Freeport, Maine over the weekend and I didn’t spend a dime! It was horrible! Well, now it’s time to drool over shoes…well…brown Steve Madden boots to be exact. I need a pair so bad. The brown boots I have weren’t made for my curvy calves! My mom bought them for me two years ago and I just can’t wear them. Sorry mom! Hopefully, she’ll read this and get some ideas!
