There’s always a sense of naughtiness when you go to Las Vegas. Maybe it’s the money, the bright lights, the trendy clubs, or the swanky hotels?
I swore to myself that I would never wear combat boots again! I spent five years wearing them as I served in the United States Air Force. And when you wear them every single day, they lose any type of fashion appeal.
But, the more I see them around, the more I want a pair. In fact, I saw this pair of Rocket Dog Rideon Vintage Worn boots at Marshalls the other day and I can’t stop thinking about them. They aren’t the most feminine pair of shoes, but maybe that’s why I like them.
I would love to pair them with leggings, skinny jeans, or black opaque tights. Maybe after all these years I’m ready to move on and grab a pair.
Celebrating their 55th year anniversary, JAFRA is holding their annual conference in style at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas!
JAFRA, an international cosmetics company known for their popular Royal Jelly line, not only creates quality skin care products, but they also offer career opportunities.
Day 1 brought consultants from all over the United States together for a motivating, educational, and empowering session. I was lucky enough to experience it all. It was so inspiring to be around all of these women who whole-heartedly support each other in what could be a very competitive market.
JAFRA President Connie Tang was on hand to share her passion for what she does. She also spoke about the Accelerate Your Success program, which presents a brand new Mercedes Benz to successful managers. There were 32 winners for 2010!
They also introduced their reinvented “color” line. Developed with the help of celebrity makeup artists Sergio Lopez Rivera and Aliesh Pierce, the colors are “for every woman, for every age, and every skin tone.” From natural to dramatic the looks are practically endless.
Day 1 ended with motivational speaker J.R. Martinez. While serving in the U.S. Army, he was severely burned after his humvee ran over a land mine during the Iraq war. Today, he travels the country sharing his story of resilience and optimism. It was a day to remember.
Day 2 will not only consist of live tweeting from the JAFRA workshops, but I’ll also be hosting a Twitter Party today from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. PST. Don’t forget to use the #JAFRA2011 hash tag, there will be a chance to win a JAFRA bag filled with products that were just launched valued at $250! Follow me on Twitter @BlogsbyLatinas to join in.
Don’t you hate having to justify things you’ve purchased? I can’t help it that this pair of shoes (below) just had to be mine! They were literally saying my name as I walked past them. OK, maybe not, but once I picked them up I couldn’t put them down.
What you’re reading now is what I told my husband as I plead my case on why I had to buy these shoes. Don’t worry, it worked out in my favor. I brought out the whole “Do you know how much you spend on your video games?” That always works when I try and reverse the guilt.
There should be no need to justify such beautiful pink peep-toe sling back platform pumps from Guess. If I really want to dig deep down inside and get all therapist on you; I could say I probably feel this way due to guilt. Guilt from not being employed full time? Whatever it is, I don’t like doing it.
From now on, if I like something I buy. At a reasonable price of course and there’s no more excuses. That’s it. The end. Finito.
Although half of the United States is experiencing chilly winter weather, we do have spring trends to look forward to. The first of many trends is the color block design. It’s a very Mod style and reminds me of the 1960’s.
I can see myself wearing #4 from Dorothy Perkins or #7 from Missphit. Which one is your favorite? Do you see yourself wearing this trend this spring?

I am in a shoe obsessed mood right now, so bear with me. I can thank Chinese Laundry for that. Last night, I spent a few hours over at the Chinese Laundry Golden Globes after party held at the W hotel in Hollywood.
The night was filled with laughter and fun (wink wink) with a few gal pals. There were even a few interesting sightings. It was held in “The Living Room” inside the W, which was massive.
You can check out the photos on their Facebook page here.
I wore this top by L8ter clothing via Macy’s, tights from Target, and jewelry, skirt, and shoes from Forever 21.
This F21 necklace is becoming one of my favorite pieces. So, you just might see it in a few of my upcoming outfits.
Evans model, Quinn Miles picks her favorite pieces for 2011 (above). They are fun, flirty, and perfect for spring. Will harem pants make it on your spring list? My picks from the UK retailer are below, what do you think?
Glee star Amber Riley looks amazing on the red carpet as she arrives for the Golden Globes. She was my favorite curvaliscious star of the night! Actually, she was one of my favorite looks of the night period. Doesn’t she look flawless in her Oliver Tolentino creation?

My night as a CoverGirl was a very exciting night! Now, you get to see my makeover process during the “Primping Party.” I was having technical difficulties after the party and I couldn’t post the video until now.
My hair was styled by Besma of the Frederic Fekkai Salon and my makeup was done by Toby Fleischman. I felt so glamorous!

It doesn’t hurt that most of them can be worn as crossbody bags which is a bonus in my book. Especially, since I need my hands free for shopping. The Coral Leather Lock Handle Bag is divine, but for $110, I might need to find a cheaper alternate. Unless I can get my hands on some coupon codes (hint, hint).
