Guess who’s going to San Antonio this weekend? Meeeeeee! Yes, I’ll be in the “Lone Star State” for the People En Espanol Festival! Before I go any further make sure you RSVP for the three Twitter parties Mamiverse is hosting this week. If you’re in San Antonio, they’ll be giving away passes to the festival this weekend and there’s a chance to win lots of Target gift cards. And while I’m there it’s supposed be pretty hot and you all know how I feel about that weather.
The houndstooth print isn’t for everyone. In fact, half of you probably love it and the other half…not so much. But, that’s OK! Just because it’s a trend doesn’t mean you have to like it. I like my prints in small doses, that’s just me. And I can imagine wearing this print, also known as dogstooth, in an office or business casual setting.
IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel has just released their pre-fall collection and it’s gorgeous! Inspired by exotic Indian design elements and sensuous ancient Greek draping, there are some great dresses I have my eye on. Modeled by my friend Denise Bidot, the “Voyage Exotique” collection hugs curves in all the right places.
Tadashi Shoji designs some of the most luxurious cocktail dresses and gowns you’ll ever see. I was beyond honored when I was asked if I wanted to be included in a style challenge with a group of amazingly beautiful bloggers! I was given the Cutout Jersey Boatneck Cocktail Dress in Black from their new Plus Size Evening Shop and let me tell you how gorgeous this dress is! Stunning! It’s so versataile. And that’s something I hope to show you in this challenge.
I seriously think the photos will never stop! LOL! In an attempt to bring you all the amazingness from Full Figured Fashion Week…this is the last post with individual designers. The next two will contain all of the remaining designers. If I continued at this rate, then I’d be posting for a few weeks. And by then, you’ll be sick of me and FFFWeek! LOL! OK…enough of that. Here are two creative and inspiring designers SK WiLBUR and Ashley Nell Tipton.
There’s just something about a maxi dress that makes me smile. See…look below…I’m smiling! LOL! Thank you to Torrid for sending me the Blush Slub Knit Ruffle Maxi Dress ($64). I adored it and I got tons of compliments on it. I was kind of bummed when I had to change later that day.
As you can see, it’s a really great length for me at 5’6 with flat sandals. I might even be able to get away with a wedge without it being too short. That’s one of my pet peeves. I’m a size 16 and this is a Size 1. If you look on the website, the ruffle (on the model) looks longer. Maybe it’s because I’m bigger up top than she is? The top was a little boobie-licious at some times, I had to keep picking it up. Besides that I loved this maxi and I can’t wait to wear it again!
Blame it on me not feeling well or the fact that I waited until the last minute, but I am “fashion frustrated” at the moment. I can not seem to find anything to wear for Full Figured Fashion Week. I know I still have about 4 days left to shop, but come on! And with my back hurting the way it has, I can’t leave my house and the hubby hates to shop, so I’ve been stuck searching online. And don’t even get me started on what I’m going to wear to the “All White Sunset Cruise.” Do you know…
The minute I was asked to review a dress from IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel I immediately said yes! I’m a big fan of her designs and was very interested in seeing how her clothes fit. I chose the Diana Infinity Dress in Multi ($165) because of the cool python-like print. And I’m all for a piece of clothing that gives you different options. I decided to wear it to the opening night reception of my blogger retreat and a lot of my friends loved it! I chose to wear it as a one-sleeved dress. I’m wearing the size 14/16 here…
As you know, I had a chance to preview the new plus size BECCA ETC swimwear collection and I pretty much love it! And I wanted to share my favorite of all the lines-Animal Instincts. I guess I’m a sucker for python print and I’m in love with the colors too! There are so many different styles, as you can see on the beautiful Tara Lynn below. These are quality suits ladies! You are definitely going to get what you pay for. There are different options too-various two pieces, one-pieces, and cover ups. Some of the other bloggers that attended…
