Fashion does not have to be frustrating. That’s my new motto. In fact, I’m doing all I can to make things easier on me, my lifestyle, and my wallet. One of the ways I’m doing that is by outfitting my wardrobe with clothing that can be styled many different ways. And there’s no other piece of clothing more versatile than the little black dress. That’s why I call it the perfect canvas.
It’s the middle of October, Halloween is around the corner, and Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is every where. I not only love the Mexican holiday, but I love the fashion inspired by it. That’s why I decided to create my own plus size Day of the Dead inspired look.
I love when fall comes around. You already know I love the cold weather, but I’m also a big fan of the fashion. Like being able to wear scarves, boots, and sweater dresses of course! Because it’s not just the dress, but the fact that I can bust out my leggings and tights too!
Two of my favorite things together again—fashion and my friends. Thanks Torrid for the invite to your Holiday Preview Event! We all gathered at their headquarters, here in Los Angeles, for an afternoon of fashion. Unfortunately, I was stuck in traffic and arrived just a little bit late. The story of my L.A. life.
I’m seeing stripes…again. Black and white stripes have definitely made another comeback. I love when fashion trends do that. Just when you think it’s dead, it comes back with a vengeance. OK, maybe not a vengeance, but it’s every where!
Are you ready for some glamorous dresses? I can’t hear you! OK…seriously I can’t hear because this is a blog, but I can imagine that you’re saying yes! Well, we all know about my love for Tadashi Shoji. His gowns and cocktail dresses are stunning. And when they sent me the Fall/Holiday 2013 Lookbook, you know I had to share it with you.
There’s that moment, when you put on an article of clothing and it just feels like it was made for you. It’s one of those “perfect fit” experiences. What’s even better is when you don’t think it will look good on you, then when you’re wearing it all of that just goes away. Sonsi, your “go to” online plus size fashion shop, sent me a few items from their (awesome) City Chic boutique and it was all I needed to make my weekend.
