Juicy Couture…what are you doing to me? Come on!! You can not continue to create such gorgeous pieces of jewelry and not expect me to fall in love. I mean…look at these vintage style beauties. Why or why must you torture me?
It’s about to get really bright in here, thanks to the good ol’ Forever 21′s Faith 21 line.
Despite, their sometimes lack of quality, I still love the pieces they are producing. But, for the prices you pay, do you really expect them to be top of the line quality. If they were, we’d be paying A LOT more than $17.80 for a top.
Can I tell you how much I am into bright colors and prints right now. This is not my style at all, but I am trying to step out of my clothing comfort zone. You know…fashion baby steps.
I want all of these pieces right now. I can see any of the tops paired with skinny jeans, leggings, or shorts. And the dresses are so summer chic, just throw on a pair of flip flops or gladiator sandals.
Summer makes me want to shop! Not good.
Look at the gorgeous Christina Hendricks as she’s featured in the recent Los Angeles Times Magazine. We don’t get to see her glorious curves, but we do get a peek at these five retro glam beauty looks. Here’s a little peek from the interview.
As a woman, I have to say the retro underwear on Mad Men actresses looks like utter torture. Am I wrong?
No, you’re not wrong. We’re so used to it now, but those undergarments really aren’t made for relaxing. If I get my entire costume on, and I have to wait a few hours for my next scene, I have to learn how to position myself, otherwise the boning presses into my guts! It can really hurt those internal organs! I have this little war wound—a blister from wearing a garter the other day for 17 hours.
Of course all the shoes I want are $99 and over! Somehow, the hot shoes and I are always separated. We’re kind of like Romeo and Juliet. We’re destined to be together, but other circumstances keep us apart…like no money. Except, I don’t think I would die for them. So, maybe we aren’t like Romeo and Juliet after all. See how these hot shoes mess with my mind!! Read more
Ok…I look yucky and I’m not too happy with these photos, but they’ll do. I just wanted to show you the outfit I wore on Saturday, for our little gathering. This is the dress I bought at H&M. It is very roomy. It’s a large and I think it would fit anyone up to a size 22. This may be my new favorite dress for the summer and it has pockets! Yay! The great thing about this dress is the print and the colors. It can be worn so many different ways!

Who is your favorite fashion designer and why?
Do you live by a fashion philosophy or quote? What is it?
Raise your hand if you loved the 90′s! Come on! Am I showing my age here? Anyone? Well, Elle Magazine’s July 2010 issue is claiming yet another 90′s grunge comeback. Are you going to pull out your flannels? Combat boots? Floral prints? Shredded jeans? Wait…do I hear crickets? All the decades are cool, but the 90′s were one of my faves. I don’t know about you, but I like it!
Summer has officially started and if you don’t believe me, just check your calendar. The 4th of July weekend is only a few days away! You know what that means…SALES! And you can’t forget the most important factor…the heat. The blazing sun is so unforgiving!
Interestingly enough, I think my hubby will really love this summer. Let me elaborate a bit…without getting too personal. LOL. Now, I’ve told you all before that I’m a t-shirt and sweats kind of girl. But, not this summer. I’ve never been so comfortable with my body and I am on a mission to make this a summer of firsts. Like…wearing lingerie to bed. I know! I know! But, I am a married woman who needs to keep the romance alive!
And after writing that review about that gorgeous Flyaway Babydoll from Lingerie.com, I realized how much I love wearing a sexy undergarment. And they definitely carry sexy plus size lingerie. Maybe these two will work?
Fashion…you are amazing. There are so many reasons, but we don’t have all day now do we? No, we don’t. So, let me just say that I love the fact that certain prints and styles are still hot today as they were back then. Oh…do you need an example? How about the use of stripes? They’re definitely a year-round trend and have been since the beginning of fashion.
These fashion photos, featuring stripes, were found over at MyVintageVogue.com. They are dated from the 1940′s to the 1960′s. I love the classic and feminine touches. Gorgeous!
