Yes…you read that right. I’m headed on an all expenses paid expedition, courtesy of the American Latino Heritage Fund! That means I’m going to experience the great outdoors. Yes…me in nature. I know what you’re thinking, but I’m always up for a challenge. That’s why my friends and I applied for this amazing opportunity. And you know I’m going to share this Curvy Girl Travels adventure!
I’m finally back home from my trip to Austin, Texas! I was there attending and speaking at the Texas Style Council Conference. I got in really late on Monday night…actually early Tuesday morning and was exhausted from a day of flying. I woke up and remembered I had a blog event to attend to. In a rush I got ready and this is the look I came up with.
I’m having total designer handbag envy right now. No, I can’t really afford any of these at the moment, but a girl can look and create a wish list right? Yes, I know there will knockoffs in a minute. So, in the meantime, I’m going to just imagine these on my arm. That Alexander McQueen is gorgeous!
I have always been a fan of Lucky Brand and their bohemian rustic vibe. Is that even a thing? Whatever…I’ve loved them before they came out with a plus line. I did get my hands on a few pairs of their denim and I’ve officially added them to my short list of favorites. And after checking out their new arrivals I knew I had write up a new “10 Favorites” post!
I will be the first to admit that I’ve been wearing a lot of black and white lately. I don’t know what it is. Sometimes, I just get in a fashion phase, where I want to wear the same color or styles. Eh…it happens. I was looking for a chic, but comfy look and this is what I came up with.
If you follow the world of plus size fashion, the name SK WiLBUR may sound familiar to you. As a woman’s wear designer, Wilbur Pack Jr. created fashion for woman of all sizes. His distinct and bold line was featured on my blog last year when he showed at Full Figured Fashion Week. In fact, this summer I met up with Wilbur in NYC again, only to find out that he has now moved on to designing handbags!

I don’t know about you guys, but when it comes to makeup I don’t want that heavy and caked on feeling on my face. I still want impact when it comes to color, but not all that weighs it down. I think Estee Lauder really has that down with their Pure Color Cello Shots collection. I tried a few of the products from the collection below and I’m really impressed.
