What do you think about Roberto Cavalli’s plus size collection?
Last week I attended the Hispanicize 2011 right here in Hollywood. It was their 2nd Annual PR & Social Media conference. I had an amazing time networking and reconnecting with my friends. I was asked to sit in on a panel of Fashion and Beauty bloggers. I was pretty nervous. There were four of us up there and I couldn’t help but stress how brands and companies are passing up opportunities to work with the “plus size” community.
I also made sure to tell the audience, that I don’t sit here telling you what to wear. I just give you recommendations on what I like and feel would look good on me. We all know that we have to find our own personal style. That being said, here are the three outfits taken by the awesome Cid of Cid Style File. My partner in crime. I made sure to dress comfy, because these are all day conferences. P.S. don’t mind my hair (I swear it was windy) and my awkward poses. LOL.
Disclaimer: I was NOT financially compensated for the above. Although some items were gifted, the above is my true and honest opinion.

Looking for a bold nail color? You know, something that will make those nails pop?
Just so you know, I usually play it safe when it comes to nail color, but now I’m all about stepping out of my nail comfort zone.
If you’re not afraid of bold colors, then you should definitely try China Glaze’s Summer 2011 Collection “Island Escape.” This collection features a shimmering bold blue named Blue Iguana.
I wore this color yesterday and I got so many compliments I couldn’t stop looking at my nails. Do you ever do that? LOL!
The collection also features:

Full Figured Fashion Week, the only plus size fashion week, will invade New York June 16-18 and I can’t be more excited. I’ve only attended the Los Angeles FFF Week and it was beyond amazing. I was a part of The Curvy Collective, a group of bloggers chosen to cover the event. This year the name of the group has changed, it is now The Fashion Front and I have been selected as a member again. I am so very honored to be included with these fellow bloggers!
I’m in a really big hurry this morning, but I just had to show you these adorable cat and elephant pieces from the jewelery line of the creative Betsey Johnson. Of course my heart belongs to vintage cat collection, but the elephants are too cute! This woman never runs out of ideas. What it must be like to live in her head. Anywhoo, enjoy the Betsey love!
Calvein Klein, Michael Kors, Rachel Pally, and Diane Von Fursteberg are only a few of the designers available on 365Hangers.com. This jewel of a sample sale site guarantees women’s designer labels at 70% ! That’s a steal, if you ask me. I love that they use models that represent different shapes and body sizes. And their sizes range from 0/XS to 16/XL. My friend just purchased a Marc Jacobs dress from them at Sassy City Chicks, for an amazing price. I was actually looking at this Rachel Pally design, it would make a great spring dress.

Maybe it’s the bright L.A. sun or the smell of spring in the air, but I have been craving white skinny jeans. It never fails, the trend of wearing white always pops up around this time.
Ashley Stewart has some really great white pieces to add to your closet. Being that it’s a basic color, there are so many combinations possible. And it’s an easy way to brighten up any outfit.
Something like this Off the Shoulder Smocked Blouse $29 (left) is definitely a versatile piece. It can be worn with jeans like the model, shorts, or capris.
I think adding something like a bright colored floral pin to a basic white top is so easy. I might have to get my hands on the white Cropped Denim Jacket $29 (below). I can see myself wearing it with a floral dress or tank dress and a cute pair of sandals.
Are you on the quest to find that softer and beautiful looking skin for those flirty spring dresses? Yes, it’s time to start thinking about that.
Don’t worry, Dove’s VisibleCare Body Wash has got you covered…literally, in the shower that is. They promise beautiful looking skin in one week! You know I had to try this out!
I am currently using the “Softening” body wash and it smells great, without being too fragrant. I love how it lathers up and it even feels silky on the skin when your washing your body. That’s always important to me with a body wash.
I can definitely feel the difference in my skin, it’s a loft softer to the touch. And my skin has a slight glow to it. It has to be their unique formula of NutriumMoisture™. It contains skin-natural building blocks to help improve your skin’s look over time.
Dove wants you to have radiant skin too , that’s why they’re giving away one bottle of their VisibleCare Body Wash to a Curves and Chaos reader!

It’s a great start to a lazy Sunday. I wanted to post this outfit before I got too comfy.
I bought this vintage top from Kori of Buxom Vintage for $8. You should def check her out, she specializes in plus size vintage. She was a vendor at the Curvy Revolution.
I’d love to turn this into some sort of crop top. But the embroidery around the neck, sleeves and trim is really unique. So, I’d hate to lose any of it. Should I just leave it the way it is?
The denim straight leg capri ($20) is courtesy of Just My Size. I couldn’t find them online, but I know they are a piece from their spring looks. There’s a little bit of stretch in the material, which makes them the perfect capri for my lazy day.
*I was not paid for this post. Although, one item was gifted, the above is my true and honest opinion.
Many of you have come to me asking what to wear to a job interview. I will say, it really depends on the job. For a corporate position, you might not want to mess around. You should dress as professional as possible- without losing your personal style. Unfortunately, many businesses do rely on their employees appearance. That means they might want you to look “put together” for their clients. Here’s a little something I whipped up.
