It’s that time of year again, when rompers start to pop up every where. I personally love them. As you can see here, when I wore this floral one from Torrid. OK, it’s been a while since I’ve worn one, but that’s because I haven’t found the perfect plus size romper. You know, one that is not too short for starters. And it has to fit in all the right places. We all have our criteria for certain styles of clothing, don’t we? Besides, I think the romper is definitely a love or hate item.
For some odd reason, people seem to think that those of us who wear plus sizes can’t wear crop tops. Ummm…wrong! Yes, it’s consider a more daring fashion statement, but anyone can wear one—no matter their size. The only problem we may have is finding plus size crop tops that are stylish. There’s no need to worry, you know I wouldn’t leave you hanging like that.
I have a thing for maxi skirts. I adore them. I really want to wear them every single day. And they’re perfect for the spring and summer weather. I love them in all colors, prints, and super long! So, when a fellow blogger friend Jayka of Wacky Little House asked me how I style them, I couldn’t wait to share. Here are MY three favorite ways to style a maxi skirt.
New York Fashion Week has come and gone. Almost in an instant it seems. I was busy dealing with family issues, when BAM!—it was over. I did catch a few shows online, which was pretty awesome by the way. I’m always so inspired when I see the fashion hit the runway. And the trends just don’t stop at the clothes they’re wearing—you can’t forget the beauty side! Morgan Taylor Lacquer‘s nail team knows a thing or two about that. They were on hand (no pun intended) for a ton of shows!
We can all agree that sexy is a state of mind. Whether you’re wearing a potato sack, denim jeans, lingerie, or a designer gown; it’s up to you to determine what’s sexy. For me, what I wear underneath my clothes makes me feel “oh la la.” FYI, that means wearing a sexy bra. And I can’t shop for just any bras, I have to (proudly) check out the full-figured section. From lace, satin, balconette, to plunge—there are lots of sexy bras out there for us! Here are 10 of my favorite sexy full-figure bras.
Let’s be honest, awards season has been pretty good so far. But, we still have the SAG Awards and the Academy Awards to look forward to. Don’t you just love the anticipation of the red carpet? Who is wearing what designer? And what will their hair and makeup look like. This past week, I actually got the inside scoop to a few Golden Globes celebrity looks thanks to L’Oreal Paris.
Do you ever feel like you need a little help in the fashion department? Well, when I met Tim Gunn, he was more than happy to share some styling tips and fashion advice. He’s such a down to earth guy. I know I keep saying that, but it’s such a breath of fresh air when celebrities are nice. Anyways…one of the things he shared with us were his wardrobe essentials. I actually took video of it and wanted to share it with you guys. I even included my own plus size picks below.
Woooooohoooo! It’s Day 2 of my 5 Days of Cheer Holiday Giveaway! Make sure you enter the Day 1 giveaway here. Only a few days left to enter! I want you guys to know how special these giveaways are for me. I couldn’t think of a better way to say thank you for all the support you guys have given me over the past year. I love a good store opening. What I like even better is getting a sneak peek before it opens to the public. That’s what I did last week when I was invited to a press preview for the 37th Bloomingdale’s store to open in the United States. It officially opened on Friday, November 8 in the city of Glendale, California (Los Angeles area).
It’s time for another one of my 10 Favorites posts. And this time it’s kind of a “fall must-have” kind of list from Torrid. There picks would be perfect for a range of looks. And that’s always what I look for—pieces I can wear more than once. I can’t believe I actually chose some camo print…being that I spent a few years in the military and I normally don’t wear it.
Have I ever told you how much I love thrifting? I really do! I grew up shopping thrift stores. My mom even worked at one. She used to bring home the greatest stuff. I guess you can say it’s in my blood. It’s just unfortunate that most stores make finding plus sizes really hard. I had almost given up hope, until I visited Savers Thrift Store in Austin, Texas!
I haven’t been to a bridal shower in what seems like forever. This past Labor Day weekend, I was invited to my future sister-in-law’s party. I was super excited, but I didn’t know what to wear. I didn’t want to wear a dress. I’ve been in such a denim mood lately. Seriously, that’s all I want to wear. And I’ve been wanting to wear this top from Ruche and bag from Urban Expressions since they sent it to me to review.
I have always been a fan of Lucky Brand and their bohemian rustic vibe. Is that even a thing? Whatever…I’ve loved them before they came out with a plus line. I did get my hands on a few pairs of their denim and I’ve officially added them to my short list of favorites. And after checking out their new arrivals I knew I had write up a new “10 Favorites” post!
