Beauty technology is pretty amazing. We have so many gadgets today, you basically have everything you need to make getting ready a lot easier. Maya of MayaInTheMoment.com recently visited me and I let her borrow my new Kiss Instawave Automatic Curler. Let’s just say she kinda fell in love with it. So, I asked her if she wanted to do a review and she said yes. I love this girl! Take a look at her video review below and let me know what you think in the comments section below. Will you be purchasing this “Lazy Girl” product (as Maya calls it)?
You might not believe it, but sometimes you can find positive messages in random places. Like on the side of pouches. Yeah, I wouldn’t think to look there either. But, in today’s world I’ll take it where I can get it. And as I was doing a little online shopping today and I came across these really cool Dogeared pouches. Read more
Think about if for a second, how much does your nose and it’s ability to smell play a part in your every day life? A beautiful scent can bring you immediate joy and pleasure. I know when I smell something that reminds me of my childhood, I’m all smiles. And unpleasant scents…well…we’ll just leave them at unpleasant. I had a chance to try out two new products from CLEAN that left me smiling. Read more
It’s time for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s 2nd Annual Super Saturday sale in Los Angeles! The charity fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Santa Monica at The Barker Hanger. It’s hosted by Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman with Molly Sims and Scott Stuber. I attended last year and it is really a shopper’s delight. The New York Times has even called it “the Rolls Royce of garage sales.” and they’re giving me a pair of passes to give away to you! Read more

I talk to my mom on the phone almost every day. I can honestly say, each conversation takes on a life of it’s own. We don’t always agree on things and we will sometimes butt heads. I love her beyond words, but man we are so much alike it’s scary. It seems like every time I open my mouth, I say something and I sound just like her. In fact, I think I might actually be turning into her. Read more
If you haven’t noticed, most of my outfits consist of blue denim jeans. What can I say? It’s an obsession. I love wearing them more than anything. Maybe I should do one of those dress challenges? Anyways, this past weekend I changed it up a little bit and threw on a pair of white denim. You know, cause it’s spring. Baby steps people. I also had a chance to wear this Rachel Pally top I picked up at her recent warehouse sale. Read more
It’s beauty confession time. For the past few years, I’ve used nothing but liquid body washes when it comes to bathing. I haven’t used bar soap in a really long time. OK, not the craziest confession, but it sounds weird admitting that. All we used growing up was bar soap. In fact, I don’t even know why I stopped using it in the first place. Well, looks like it may be back in my bathing routine since Yardley London Nourishing Elements Artisan Soap sent me a few bars to try out. Read more

When was the last time you tried to style a t-shirt? And I’m not talking about just any old tee. I’m talking about a t-shirt with a very special message. One that encourages us to “Make An Impact” in the lives of our little ones. As most of you know, I’m not a mama. But, I am a proud aunt and godmother. And I care about my babies with all of my corazon and most importantly—their health. That’s why I was super proud to rock this new March of Dimes/Kmart t-shirt exclusively designed by celebrity fitness star Jillian Michaels! You’ll even have a chance to win your own shirt below. We live in a world where people want to be anyone but themselves. Constantly putting themselves down, copying others, and not being true to who they really are. It makes me sad when I see a woman desperately trying to change who she is in order to fit into what society thinks is “beautiful.” I get it. It’s hard. We want to be accepted. And it doesn’t help that we are bombarded with messages that tell us what we should look like and how we should dress. Believe me, I work really hard to not fall into the trap myself. But, I’m only human. Sometimes, I need to remind myself to just be me. Read more
