I love to write posts that I hope will inspire and encourage you to love yourself, especially on the outside. Believe me, I know it’s not easy. It’s a journey I’m still working on. And it doesn’t seem to get any easier whenever swimsuit season rolls around. The minute we hear the words “swimsuit shopping” we cringe.
It looks like minimalism is going strong with the longline trend. Yes, the name pretty much describes it all—long pieces and clean lines. As you’ll see below. You may have noticed this trend started in 2014 with menswear and only a few pieces for women. But, it really has caught my attention this spring and into summer. My friend Rachel is rocking it here. Of course, I found some amazing plus size longline pieces below. From vests to tops, which one is your favorite?

Oh…swimsuit anxiety. You’re an evil one. Even the most confident women (ahem) get that uneasy feeling when they think of summer and the fact that swimsuit season is practically here. There’s just something that goes off in your head when you know you’re about to parade around others half naked in the bright summer sun. OK, that’s just how it goes in my head.
If you haven’t noticed, most of my outfits consist of blue denim jeans. What can I say? It’s an obsession. I love wearing them more than anything. Maybe I should do one of those dress challenges? Anyways, this past weekend I changed it up a little bit and threw on a pair of white denim. You know, cause it’s spring. Baby steps people. I also had a chance to wear this Rachel Pally top I picked up at her recent warehouse sale.
As spring and summer rolls around, it’s all about light weight materials. And as much as I love denim, sometimes it can be a little too heavy for the warmer weather. That’s why the chambray trend is always an awesome alternative. And like any basic, it’s a blank slate. It’s really easy to accessorize and style.

I like to think of myself as a low maintenance kind of person. It doesn’t take much time for me to get ready in the morning. If you follow my blog, then you know I’m a pretty casual kind of girl. It’s just the way I’m wired. It’s never an overthought process. Don’t believe me? Check it out. Come on…get ready with me!
I was just sent a sneak peek of the Lane Bryant Fall 2015 collection and I had to share it with you guys! You’ll find not only your staple pieces below (including 6th & Lane), but there is also outerwear, denim, intimates, bras, accessories, shoes, activewear, and even jewelry. I really think there’s something for everyone in this collection. From casual to even a few edgier styles, it’s all covered.

Where are my JLO fans? I know you can’t see me, but I’m raising my hand like crazy right now. If you’re a true fan, then you know she’s not only a multi-talented performer, but she’s also in the fashion game with her own collection available at Kohl’s. I had a chance to try out a few Jennifer Lopez plus size pieces and I only love her more now (if that’s even possible).
In case you’ve been out of the loop, L.A. has been in a little bit of a heat wave. And when that happens, I tend to wear the comfiest thing I can find. Yes, this includes the right pair of denim. I have to stay cool the best way I know how people! Ideel (formelry Ideeli) sent me a few pieces from their new (and improved) plus collection on their web site. And it made the perfect casual look on a blazing Saturday afternoon.
I know half of the country is covered in ice and snow right now. Don’t worry my loves. Spring is coming and soon you’ll be running around in your favorite spring trends. Right now I’m all about dresses. Normally, I’m not a dress kind of girl, but today it’s all I can think about. Here are my 10 favorite spring dress trends.
A few month’s ago, I found this really fun Jonathan Adler pouch. The minute I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. I bought it and then I kind of forgot all about it. It basically got lost in the abyss that is my room. Then, as if it was meant to be, it turned up—a week before Valentine’s Day. I knew I had to take it out to play before the official day of love.
I’ve always believed in investing in the basics and accessorizing or layering with stand out pieces. This is the same train of thought I use when I’m shopping for my hubby. It only makes sense. So, as I was looking around online, I came across the Old Navy Big & Tall section. I was impressed with some of the designs for men that they’re offering right now.
It’s no secret that L.A. doesn’t really have crisp fall days or chilly winters. That’s why I can get away with dressing like this in the middle of December. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not really complaining…OK maybe just a little bit. I’m that girl who loves cold winter days. But, I also love being able to wear long kimonos with short dresses and ankle boots. Living Doll Los Angeles sent me their Breezy Kimono (sold out), which I was drooling over since the moment I laid eyes on it.
I consider myself a denim kind of lady—wearing it all of the time. Truth is, I don’t wear dresses very often. But, when L’Oreal Paris invited me to attend the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas, I made sure to find one that added some much needed sparkle. I had a few outfits ideas in mind for the biggest night in Latin music. It was this look that made the cut!
