I know what you’re thinking…”You live in L.A. Monique! Do you really need winter accessories?” The answer is Yes. Normally, I don’t. But, El Nino is supposed to visit us this winter and I want to be prepared. Besides, I travel a lot and having these on hand makes sense. Oh…and I found all of these over on Shopbop.com where you can take up to 25% your entire order with code GOBIG15 (ends 11/30/15). So…yeah…I need these 10 winter accessories.
My favorite time of the year is finally here! Yes, I’m that person. I love the holiday season so much and everything that comes along with it. I’m all about the spirit of giving, holiday cheer, and the super festive decorations. And I especially love all of the holiday parties and events I get to go to. I know we can sometimes stress about what we’re going to wear, so I put together five tips for dressing for the holidays.

No excuses guys! I have found 2 of the easiest and natural DIY hair masks possibly ever. I know that’s a bold statement to make. I was inspired by a tour of Northgate Markets here in Southern California. I blame it all on the fresh veggies and fruits that caught my eye with their stunning colors. I’m hoping the next time you walk into your local market, you’re going to look at your produce department a lot differently.

This holiday season let’s make it all about giving back! I’ve teamed up with Kmart again to help spread the word on an amazing campaign—The Giving Hat. This winter knit hat was created as a way to spread awareness in the fight against childhood cancer and to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I couldn’t imagine a better gift idea! And I’m going to give you a chance at the end of this post to win your very own.
As the fall leaves tumble into the days of winter, one thing is guaranteed to happen—dry skin. I don’t know about you, but I am not a fan. In fact, I hate it. This is when I bust out my beloved body butters. One that I have happily added to my winter skin regime is the Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter in Be Comforted Warm Apple Crisp. I really wish this was a scratch-and-sniff kind of post, because this stuff smells amaze! But does it work?
I’ve written about my travel experiences with the Kia Optima before. Each one is always different and unique. I can thank Kia for that. This last media trip was no different. We were sent to one of the most scenic places I’ve even been—Aspen, Colorado. I mean, where else would you want to get behind the wheel of the 2016 Kia Optima? The twist and turns of Independence Pass really put this sedan to the test! My fellow car lovers out there will appreciate this. OK…first we have to talk about how the elevation of Aspen, about 7900 feet above…
Busy! Busy! Busy! That’s been the story of my life lately. And with all of the traveling I’ve been doing, it seems there’s never any time for well…anything. Especially, anything in the beauty department. How many times have you been flying coast to coast and wished you had stopped to pick up your favorite face wash or even just got a quick mani and pedi? If you’re traveling via the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), you’re going to love the beauty insider info I have for you!
