I am super excited to announce that I will be attending the BlogHer 2010 Conference as a volunteer! This has made my year! Just to get the opportunity to see some of the faces behind all of these amazing blogs is an honor.
I am still trying to figure out the financial aspect of actually getting there, but if there is a will…there is a way. Right?
If any of you know of a company that would like to sponsor me or if you are a company that would like to sponsor me, please contact me.
I love when I come across a plus-size line that I’ve never heard of. Like today, I was browsing Bloomindales.com and I saw this really cute line named “Love Ady.” I know…I’m so late on these things sometimes. I fell head-over-heels, for these pieces. And they’re on sale here!
So, please spill the beans! I want to know more about this line-quality and fit please. I couldn’t find a web site or anything.
If there is one thing I love about shopping, it’s getting more bang for my buck. By this, I mean buying a lot of basics that I can rework into other outfits. I love this gray vest and simple black cotton dress. They can be worn with many different pieces that already exist in my bargainista wardrobe. You’ll probably be seeing a lot more of them. This entire outfit cost around $30. Yay bargains!! How many versatile pieces do you have in your closet?

Please excuse the cheesy pic. I had to take this photo after our night out in Hollywood. My hubby the photographer was not available. So, it’s a good ol’ self-portrait. I had a lot of ideas of what I wanted to wear this night, but it just didn’t pan out. Don’t you just hate that! I decided on a very simple outfit with a little black dress. I try not to over-accessorize. You know that’s my pet peeve. We had a great time and I survived these pumps. I’m very proud of myself.
Dress: Ross Shoes: Jessica Simpson Belt: Target Earrings: Forever 21
**Underneath I wore this Elomi Smoothing Bustier, courtesy of Simply Be. Love the coverage and it’s “lifting” potential! LOL
Did I ever tell you curvaliscious ladies how much I love ya? No? Well, I do. You are very supportive and encouraging…that’s why I love ya! Can I just take a second to thank all of you for following me here and on twitter? Thanks! I also want to thank for the comments, as you know, I love the feedback. I know I haven’t been posting a lot of outfit pics, but there are a few things going on lately and I just feel blah! (Like this one to the right…do I have a Bieber shag going on? LOL)
On a side note…I just received news from my doctor about some personal female health issues. Nothing deadly, but if I don’t take better care of myself it could lead to serious health problems. So, I’ve taken the initiative to improve my eating and fitness habits. But, I still want my curves, so I plan on working on a fitness regime that will enhance them. I am currently a size 16/18 and I wouldn’t want to go any smaller than a 12/14. That’s just me, but I do have to take care of my health first, right? I will definitely keep you updated. Ok…so now it’s off to grab a dress for tonight. I’m going out to celebrate my friends 30th birthday in Hollywood! Yay! Oh, I will definitely take pics of that outfit!
Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I want all of these looks from the Australian retailer City Chic. They do ship internationally online, but the fact that I have to save for our L.A. Fatshion Bloggers Day of Shopping, doesn’t help. The red dress is too cute!! Which one is your fave?
I guess this could be a two part question. I love Christian Dior. The designs are so romantic and feminine. This designer seems togo the extra mile in all the lovely feminine details. This is my favorite straight size designer that I wish I could wear. Jibri is my favorite plus designer. Her designs occupy my closet, b/c of her same similar feminity and structure to Christian Dior.
What is the one fashion accessory/item you can’t live without?
Belts, belts, and more belts. Because of my pear shape, belts give my curves an eyecatching silloutte. I could have a paper sack on, but belted I could make that papersack fabulous.
If you were allowed to create a beauty product, what would it be and what would you name it?
I have crazy hair at times. I am never completely happy with my hair products, so my beauty product would be a product to make my curly hair more manageable. I would name it The Curly Headed Girl’s Product…LOL
If you only had 10 minutes to pack for a fashion extravaganza in your favorite city, what would you bring and where would it be?
LBD, wrap dress, flats, a boyfriend watch, killer heels, bib necklace, belt, mascara, blush, gold eyeshadow, and a girdle. Literally all this stuff could be torn in my suitcase at a moment’s notice. I always have an idea of my jet setting essentials, b/c I am a terrible last minute packer. My favorite city is NYC. There is so much to see, so much happening. Once you set foot on the concrete a love affair begins, full of ups and downs, but regardless of the outcome the romance is well worth the trip.
Do you live by a fashion philosophy or quote? What is it?
“Fashions fade, style is eternal” ~Yves Saint Laurent

Summer…Summer time!! Ok…I’m not going to get into that Wil Smith song, but I am more excited than usual in this hot weather. I am writing this post before I head to the pool and I’m staring at my ugly old cover-up. It has come in handy, but I think it’s time to move on and I’ve found a few replacements. I don’t want anything too flashy, just simple and classic. And I love the Avenue prices!!
Now that it’s finally warming up here in L.A., I can’t wait to go to the beach. I guess my trip to the pool yesterday inspired me to pair these two colors of blue and green together. It definitely reminds me of water and the tan I started working on yesterday.
I’ve told you curvaliscious ladies before about my non-makeup ways before this blog. But, now I love trying new products that work for me. Just like I did when I was strolling through Macy’s one day and came across the Benefit counter. They offered me a sample of their Stay Don’t Stray primer for your eyes. I saved it for my cousin’s wedding since it was going to be hot that day and I was going to take a lot of pictures.
Now, I am not one to brag about a product just because, but this one really did what it was supposed to. At the end of the night after 12 hours of wearing my makeup (in the heat), my eyeshadow and concealer around my eyes still looked intact. I was amazed I didn’t have to reapply my eyeshadow once! I need to get my hands on a full-size bottle stat!
Have you used this product? How has it worked for you?
