Dinner Date

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The hubby and I decided to go out on a dinner date last night. I wanted to wear something that I haven’t worn in a long time. I reached into my closet and pulled out that pencil skirt and the v-neck floral tee. I was definitely in the mood to try something different with my outfit. Trying the high-waisted look was very daring for me. I still wanted to be comfy, so I threw on this plum-colored sweater and patent leather flats. I love these flats, they are super comfy. I bought them a year ago and I wear them all the time! Hope I don’t look too grumpy. I’m still sick and wasn’t having much luck with my camera.

**Don’t mind the quality of the pic on the left. I had to switch over to the cell phone.

Spring Trends: Lace, Flowers, and Crochet

Bring out your soft side this spring with lace, flowers, and crocheted pieces. You aren’t the dainty type? It’s OK, you can add a feminine touch to your outfits with a sexy crocheted back, a flower adorned top, or a simple lace dress. Still too much? Try a lace-inspired piece of lingerie underneath your clothes…then you can go from there.

Don’t know what to wear with any of the pieces below? How about pairing any of these tops with a great pair of skinny jeans or leggings. Adding a simple ballet flat will add a romantic touch to any of the dresses below. Not into flats? A nude or taupe heel could work.

Remember: lace, flowers, and crochet don’t have to be your worst enemy.

My golden rule: Don’t forget to keep it simple. You don’t want to look too adorned.

Champagne Wishes

Obsessing over this photo of Crystal Renn in Elle Canada’s January 2010 issue. You’ve probably already seen it, but I just had to post it again. Love…love…love the champagne, the big hair, and the cuff she’s wearing. I want to be like her when I grow up.

Show Some Love: Part II

Asos at ShopStyle

Make Valentine’s Day fun the entire weekend-with any of these heart accessories. I’m seriously trying to get my hands on a pair of heart sunglasses. I would love to wear them out and about this weekend. Although, a Betsey Johnson ring sparkling on my finger wouldn’t hurt either. Hmmm?? I’m going to need to think this over.

Show Some Love: Part I

I know…I know…you are tired of all the Valentine’s Day posts. Telling you to wear red and pink on the “Day of Love.” But, have you even thought about showing some love on those cute feet of yours? Represent “V-Day” with shoes? Why not? You love shoes, right? I know, silly question.

Work of Art

Every year I look for the perfect spring dress. This curve hugging beauty might have made the cut.

What a divine dress! This Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique Print Sheath Dress is on my Nordstrom shopping list.

This watercolor design reminds me of a Monet portrait. I guess it is a work of art…a masterpiece…maybe?

The sleek cut and draping, makes a girl like me happy. Puts our curves in all the right places. I don’t know about you, but that’s exactly what I need.

Style Trend: Pencil Skirts

Pencil skirt? Yes, please!
These are from Torrid and they are the definition of glamour.
Love the cut. It reminds me of a fashion era that def needs to return!

Comfy Sunday

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I’m not going to lie. I’m really nervous about posting my first outift here. Lol. I think I’m trying too hard to impress you all. I mean…look at me…I cropped my face out because I was making a weird face!! Don’t worry. I will show my pearly whites on the next one.

This was my Superbowl Sunday outfit. I was nice and comfy, but not warm enough. I had to throw on a sweater and scarf a couple of hours after taking this. As you can tell, I’m a bargain girl! And proud of it!

Style Trend: Lace-Up Boots

Lace-Up Boots are…

a) Haute!!

b) Too masculine for me.

or

c) A trend I’m willing to try.

The reason I’m asking? I’m not 100% sure if this is a trend I’m sold on.
I was at the Beverly Center a week ago and I saw these boots everywhere. Let me know what you think.

Celeb Curves: Jordin Sparks

Jordin Sparks is such a cutie!! Love this American Idol chick!

Here she is (via justjared.com) on a Miami Beach boardwalk. Guess, she was playing an impromptu concert for the paparazzi. Sweet girl.

Love her look. She is pulling off the ‘very comfy casual’ look. I do wish the boots were black, but that’s OK. It still works.

Looks like the plaid shirt isn’t going anywhere for a while. Yesterday, at my in-laws Superbowl party there were at least 10 people wearing them.

Do love Jordin’s outfit?
