I’m in Shoe Heaven…

Like Rachel Zoe would say…”I die!”

Seriously, I’m in shoe heaven. I am speechless. All I know is that I WANT these Christian Louboutin brown suede platform pumps. The End.

OOTD: Torrid Review III

When it comes to stripes, I’m not the world’s biggest fan. I think I might own two pieces of clothing with a striped design. So, when Torrid sent me this dress, I wasn’t sure I would like it. Once, again I really need to stop being so fatshion judgemental. Today, I wore the Navy Striped Belted 2-Fer Dress ($58.00) courtesy of Torrid, and I will no longer disapprove of stripes again.

When you first touch this dress, you can’t help but love the material; it is very soft. The navy and heather gray go so well together. These are two separate pieces, but they are attached at the shoulder area. And there is a black faux belt attached at the waist. I was worried it would ride up on me or the dress would fly open in the front, but it did neither of those things.

I was also amazed at how comfy and cool I was in this dress. We had a warm day today, and I wasn’t bothered at all. I think it could be really easy to dress this down with a pair of cute sandals as well. I think the thing I liked about this dress the most was the compliment I got while I was out and about. Thanks sales associate at Staples! Btw…the shoes are by Madden Girl.

Jewelery Takes Shape

I couldn’t help but notice the recent trend of geometric shaped jewelry. It’s a style anyone can wear and it could liven up the most toned down outfit, if you’d let it. I love the clean lines and simplicity of it all. Personally, I’d really like the Marc By Marc Jacobs bracelets. Just sayin’.

What do you think? Would you wear any of these pieces?

Style & Designer: Michael Kors

If you asked me to choose my favorite designer for clothes, accessories, and shoes; I would have to give it to this genius-Michael Kors. I am in LOVE with almost everything he designs.

His creations are modern, yet very chic. Nothing is an overstatement. Just the way I like it. And you know his pieces will carry from season to season.

Kors began his fashion career at 19 and has not looked back! He not only designs woman’s fashion, accessories, and shoes- he also has his own fragrance line. In case you’re wondering Macy’s carries his plus-size pieces. And yes, I love him on Project Runway. He’s so brutally honest.

Beauty Buzz: Are You all Set?

When it comes to buying cosmetics, I’m all about the easiest and less expensive purchasing methods. That’s why I love the idea of buying your makeup in a set. Most of the time it works out better. And if you need help choosing shades and tools, it’s already done for you. You know what’s even better? Sometimes you get a free gift with purchase. Wow, this sounds great for someone like me.

What do you think? Are cosmetic sets the way to go?

Chloe is Divine

If you know me, then you know I love designer sunglasses. I don’t know why I would spend so much on a small piece of plastic. Oh wait, I know…design and quality. Sunglasses and handbags is where I allow myself to splurge, if I have the cash. I would gladly take these Chloe sunglasses any day of the week. And just because summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean we stop thinking about sunglasses. Eye protection is year round baby! Why not make it fabulous eye protection?

Fall Trends 2010: The ‘Moto’ Jacket

Bring out the bad girl this fall! Grab your leather or faux leather motorcycle jacket! I know some of you are animal friendly, besides faux leather is a lot more inexpensive. Does that still make you a bad girl? Sure! At least you’ll be a HOT looking bad girl!

OK, enough with the bad girl talk, because I really want a motorcycle (A.K.A. a “moto”) jacket. I imagine it as an essential piece to any wardrobe, kind of like a black blazer. It can be worn so many ways, with so many different pieces. That’s what it’s all about right? Getting more bang for your buck. I think I might just head over to Forever 21 tomorrow.

Which one is your favorite?

OOTD: Torrid Review II

When was the last time you looked at a piece of clothing, that you loved, but thought “I can’t wear that!” And then you’re on to the next item. For whatever reasons it may be…color, style, body issues. Let’s just push that all aside. How do you know you can’t wear it unless you try it on?

For some reason, that’s what I thought when I saw this top I’m wearing here. My first instinct is to throw a sweater over it, but it’s hot here! Then I tried it on and I loved it. Courtesy of Torrid, the Black Butterfly Tube Top ($38) was not as scary as I imagined it. It was comfortable and it didn’t show my cleavage to the world. It didn’t fall down like a lot of tube tops do. I didn’t know if the (faux) leather and studded design was my thing, but I guess it is now.

I also wore Torrid’s Source of Wisdom virtual Stretch Grey Skinny Jean ($52), also courtesy of Torrid. Now, these jeans fit differently than the other pair I reviewed. The had a lot more stretch in them. I feel like I almost could have worn a 16R in these. I really love grey denim and have that vintage and faded look to them. I just wish I would have worn a belt because they were falling a little. Also, the label on the waistband was itching my back. But, they were comfy as well.

You know I’m not a big fan of over accessorizing, especially with the top having a lot of detail, so I just wore a pair of black earrings. I paired it all with my trusty gladiator sandals. Overall, I’m pretty happy with these pieces. I just have to throw these jeans in the dryer and I think it will be perfect.

BTW…that lipstick is the Wet n’Wild #511B lipstick I told you about in the video.

OOTD: Torrid Review Part I

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Last night was date night with the hubby. I had the pleasure of wearing a few things courtesy of Torrid. I wore this Ivory Asymmetrical Ruffle top ($28) and the Source of Wisdom Virtual Stretch Distressed Skinny Jean (on sale $42). This photo was taken after a delicious steak dinner, I should of thought about this before wearing a skinny jean.

The ruffle top was extremely soft and comfy, but it was a little big on me. I usually wear a US size 18 and this was a Torrid size 2. I think the size 1 would have been perfect. I love the frills on the top, it added a very feminine touch to the outfit.

If you’re looking for a vintage inspired skinny jean, then you should really check these out. The denim is a great wash and I love the vintage touches. I was worried about the size when I was putting them on, I didn’t think they were going to fit. But, once I zipped them up, they fit like a glove. The jeans are made of this Virtual Stretch fabric, so they were very comfy. There are faux front pockets and I wish the waist was a little higher. But I loved how they fit me and I felt like they gave my butt some shape.

I didn’t want to over-accessorize because of the ruffles on the top, so I wore earrings my bff gave me and Unlisted wedges.

I’m curious if any of you have tried these jeans yet? How did you like them?
