There are just some travel boo boos we can’t anticipate. When I was at Target last week buying a bottle of Sally Hansen’s Quick Dry nail polish, little did I know it would inspire a Curvy Girl Travels post. I was so sick that week with sinus allergies that I didn’t have time to make sure my nails were all painted and ready to go for my blog conference. So, I packed a bottle of this polish that everyone brags about. I was dying to try it out. Read more
There’s going to be a few days in April when you won’t hear a peep out of me. Yes, that is possible. That’s going to be the much needed weekend I spend with my BFF (Best Friend Forever…duh!). We’re sitting here trying to plan the weekend and all I want to do is make sure it’s perfect. Well…it doesn’t have to “perfect,” she is my best friend who loves me through all imperfections. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then you’ve probably noticed that I’ve done a bit of traveling over the past few weeks. And all I can think about is what I could use to make my trips a little bit easier and a lot more comfortable! That’s why I’ve compiled a little travel (kind of luxury) wish list… Read more
Happy New Year loves! Hope your 2013 is getting off to an amazing start! I was lucky enough to ring in the new year (for the third time) in one of my favorite cities…San Francisco. I wanted to share some photos with you… Read more
This shoe lover has a little bit of a problem. As I’m getting older, it seems my feet can’t handle high heels anymore. I realized this on my last trip to Las Vegas. After two long days of walking around in the heat, the minute a heel was placed on my foot, I was ready to take them off. Like right then and there. We hadn’t even left the hotel room yet! LOL! Guess who’s going to San Antonio this weekend? Meeeeeee! Yes, I’ll be in the “Lone Star State” for the People En Espanol Festival! Before I go any further make sure you RSVP for the three Twitter parties Mamiverse is hosting this week. If you’re in San Antonio, they’ll be giving away passes to the festival this weekend and there’s a chance to win lots of Target gift cards. And while I’m there it’s supposed be pretty hot and you all know how I feel about that weather. Read more
New York City is more than skyscrapers and taxis. As one of my favorite cities, the “Big Apple” never seems to disappoint, even when it’s disgustingly hot and humid outside. Just like it was last week when thousands of bloggers and I headed to BlogHer 2012. I’m sorry…if temperatures hit over 80 degrees, it’s hot in my book! Read more
Where are my internet obsessed ladies? If you can’t tell I’m raising my hand. OK…not so much obsessed, but it’s more like a necessity at this point as a blogger. Come on! I have to keep up to date in this social media world! And with all of my flying lately, I can’t stand to sit on an airplane for a few hours without doing something productive.
You all know I love fashion and beauty. And some of you might even know about my other passion…traveling. In fact, last year I introduced a new feature “Curvy Girl Travels.” It was a way to document and share my traveling adventures with you. OK…I only wrote two stories…but I really liked it! LOL!
Well…guess what? I’m bringing it back! With all of my recent traveling there’s so much I want to share with you! So, not only is this a fashion and beauty blog, but it’s a travel blog as well!
I’ve often found that there’s always a good reason to travel. Whether it’s for work or play, the idea of being able to discover new and interesting places has always made me the happiest curvy girl around.
I had the honor of being selected by Latinos in Social Media to attend BlissDom’11 a blogger conference inside The Opryland hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Being that I’d never been to Tennessee, I was excited to visit “one of the friendliest cities in the United States.” Which was proven to me the minute I stepped inside my taxi by the way. Read more
There’s always a sense of naughtiness when you go to Las Vegas. Maybe it’s the money, the bright lights, the trendy clubs, or the swanky hotels?
I’ve always lived by the idea of how you ring in the new year will dictate what the upcoming year will be like for you. So, of course I make sure I’m traveling or with family and friends. This year I headed up to San Francisco with my hubby, little brother, cousins, and my best friends. I love that city and the whole “living by the bay” atmosphere. I am also a huge fan of the shopping in the downtown area. To die for! Can I just say the Macy’s in Union Square has the largest “Woman’s” department I’ve seen in a Macy’s! Definitely, check it out.
