Sneak Peek: Missoni for Target

Oh Missoni! Via the blog, All the way up here, here is a sneak peek at the Missoni for Target look book! These are just a few of the items that caught my eye. There’s a little discussion going around asking what sizes they will go up to. Hopefully, an XXL! that way I can squeeze myself into something here. According to the blog, there will be more than 400 pieces. This includes luggage, home, children’s, men’s, swimsuit, and a really cute bike!! I can’t wait to see them all, especially this first chocolate sweater/poncho. Delish! The collection will launch at … Continue reading

OOTD: Plaid, Cheap, and Easy?

Oh Target…this is another reason I love you! I picked up this Converse One Star plaid dress for only $7 on clearance! I will admit it’s around two sizes too big, but nothing a little alteration won’t take care of. Besides if you just tie the strings in the back really tight, you can’t even tell. This is the first plaid item I’ve bought for myself this season, I didn’t think I’d like it, but I love this dress!! It’s very comfortable and I love the military style brass buttons. I wore a simple black cardigan, Assets opaque tights, Old … Continue reading

Target Petition: We Want Designer Fashion Too!

As a self-professed bargainista, I am proud to say I LOVE TARGET! I’m there every week. And every week I am jealous of their designer collaborations. Why? Because, as a curvy gal, I don’t get to wear them. My local Target has a small, but decent plus size section, but nothing compared to the straight size department. I have come to accept the fact that us “curvy” girls will never get to experience their designer collaborations. Wait! There might be a glimmer of hope. I received this email below from Marie The Curvy Fashionista: A few days ago, Patrice from … Continue reading

OOTD: Simply Reworked

When it comes to re-working pieces into different outfits, there’s no better way to do that than with simple accessories. For example. You’ve seen this top from Torrid here and my favorite Old Navy skinny jeans a ton of times. Since my wallet has been on lock down lately, I haven’t been able to go shopping. So, I do what everyone does…rework pieces I’ve already worn. Today, I went to a womens luncheon with my cousin and I just wanted to be comfy. All I did to change things up was add earrings from Target, a Mudd Eternity Scarf (Kohls … Continue reading

OOTD: Getting Grecian

I hope you’re enjoying your Labor Day weekend! I know I am. I had an amazing Saturday. We hung out with family and friends. I finally wore this gorgeous ASOS CURVE Draped Grecian Slinky Top (out of stock). I don’t know why I waited so long to wear it. It may just be my new favorite ASOS piece. It draped beautifully and I got a ton of compliments on it all night. You know I love that. LOL. Of course I wore my favorite Lane Bryant Knit Denim Jeggings ($59.50) and my super awesome Mossimo wedges from Target that were … Continue reading

OOTD: Cafe Magazine, Melissa, & Me.

Yesterday, my husband and I had the pleasure of being photographed for Cafe Latino Lifestyle Magazine by the talented Melissa Valladares. It’s a contemporary Latino magazine published in Chicago. I’ll tell you more about it when it’s published. I had no idea what to wear. I was stressing out and very nervous, but then I thought…I’m just going to be comfortable. So, this is what I wore. I love the detail on the back of the top. Oh, excuse my bangs, I’m having a love/hate relationship with them right now. They don’t like to cooperate. The shoot was fun and … Continue reading
