Anna Scholz…what are you doing to me? You’re so fabulous and these latest images from her Hippie Chick collection from Anna Scholz Black Label Spring/Summer 2012 only prove it. I’m dying over here! I’ve always loved her use of prints with a feminine touch. And this collection is a perfect example of that.
Hippie Chick is “down-to-earth girliness with a sophisticated twist.” I agree. You will find maxi dresses and tunics in colors and prints for almost everyone. I will admit I’ve only owned one of her maxi dresses, but it’s so amazingly…amazing…that I just might have to splurge and grab something from this latest collection. Take a look for yourselves…what do you think? I can’t decide which one I want…
Look mom! I like something besides sequins! Yes, my loves, I’m venturing into metallics. Whether it’s a top, jacket, shoe, or even a handbag-getting in on the shine will make you stand out. And if you don’t want to go all out, then why not add something with a touch of metallic. It’s a great way to break up an all-black outfit.
I put together a few collages below. The first three are outfits with a few touches of metallic. Each one has it’s twist. Then you have a selection of a few bags and clutches I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on, especially this one from ASOS (right). Then I venture into shoes…of course. Ughhhh dying over these shoes. It’s May…so that means spring is in full effect! (Or at least it should be) It’s definitely spring here on my blog. And there’s no better way to celebrate than with one giveaway a week for the entire month. You know we all need a great pair of sandals to carry us through the spring into the summer, that’s why I’m hosting the “Spring Sandal Giveaway.” I wish I could win!

We are officially one week into the spring season. Even though it doesn’t seem like it in some parts of the country. The weather has been crazy! It’s supposed to be in the 70′s this week here in L.A.
One of my favorite things about spring is being able to layer. Because the weather is still mild and with today’s unpredictable weather, you have to be ready. It’s always changing.
That’s why during this time of the year, you start seeing a lot of linen peices. A linen blazer is great to use over a tank top or a spring dress, because it’s a lighter material than the wool or heavy cotton pieces we were wearing. Not to mention it’s pretty comfy.This

I really wish it wasn’t raining today. Yes, I said it. I know I said I love the rain in the past, but after a leak in the roof caused damage to my closet (the consequence of living on the top floor), I am reconsidering the love. Thank goodness nothing was damaged. My clothes, shoes, and handbags are safe and sound. We caught the leak just in time. So, now I sit here wishing I could wear an outfit like the one below. Instead, I think I’m pulling out my Uggs.
