Who doesn’t love shopping? Really? The Full Figured Fashion Week “Curves In The City” shopping event was pretty much what I needed at this point. I snatched up a beautiful Queen Grace dress for $34! In my world, that’s pretty exciting!
Vendors sold clothes, jewelry, beauty products, and accessories. I even got a bra fitting by Cacique, which you should get every 6 months by-the-way. And don’t get me started on the cake pops I devoured courtesy of MYNT 1792-they definitely have my attention right now.
Of course, I was snapping away…here are more pics!

If you didn’t know, I once sold designer sunglasses at Nordstrom. It was probably one of my favorite retail jobs! Hellooooo…I got to see the styles before anyone else and I got an employee discount. It didn’t get any better than that. My wallet didn’t like it so much, but I loved it. Now, I lust after designer glasses like Gucci and Fendi. Many people don’t understand the love for a great quality pair of sunglasses, but I do. The craftsmanship and quality is a million times better and if you take care of them then they’ll last a lifetime.
I went over to Nordstrom.com and picked my favorites for this summer!
Which pair are you lusting after?
I’m not going to lie, I’ve always wished Everything But Water sold plus sizes. For so many years, I was just like you walking past their store in the mall and NEVER entering. Well, we don’t have to worry about that anymore!
“The largest retailer in swim and resortwear in the US is proud to announce the availability of plus size collections from Becca Etc By Rebecca Virtue, Sorella Swim and Michael Kors nationwide in-stores and online!”
I was so happy when I read that! LOL! I know I’m a dork! And I didn’t know they also sold accessories!! They really do have “Everything But Water!” I was sent a Sorella swimsuit and I looooooove it! Just in time for summer!
Check out their selection of plus sizes here and let me know what you think!
It’s that time again Los Angeles! Yes, Rachel Pally is holding another warehouse sale. I don’t know how many times I have to tell you to get your shopping but over there. Where else will you get her designs for 55-85% off? NOWHERE!! I’ve been to three of these already and I always leave with something. It’s so awesome!! I’m going to try and make this one too. I might have to reschedule a few things, but its worth it. The items included in the sale are from the Rachel Pally and White Label lines. So, lots of options. I will pass on that when trying on the clothes, there is a communal fitting room. That means everyone in one room. If you go, please let me know. And if you have any questions about the sale…ask away. I’ll do my best to answer them.
Dates and times are on the flyer above.
Now that spring is here, it’s time to start thinking sandals and wedges. I’m a big fan of wedges. Maybe because it’s not a flat, but it’s not a heel either. And there’s something about an Espadrille wedge that has me thinking spring dresses. Just look at all the style and colors. You have everything from nude to vibrant colors. I think I really need to go shopping. LOL! Since I’m in the mood to shop, I’ve decided to find you a few that are $50 and under. Which one is your favorite?
I’ve been in a dress kind of mood lately. Growing up, I haaaaated wearing dresses.Even a few years ago, you wouldn’t see me in anything that showed my legs. *This is NOT a sponsored post. I just really like them!
There once was a time when I would plan ahead. It didn’t matter what it was. I actually despised waiting until the last minute to accomplish something, especially shopping. Today, I’m no longer that girl. I’m now that “I’ll wait until last minute to find what I need” shopper and I don’t like it.
There’s nothing worse than feeling rushed or forced to buy clothing or shoes. I don’t know why I do it to myself. Maybe I think I’ll make quicker decisions? And because I’ve been so indecisive lately when it comes to fashion, this may make sense. I’m such a mess when I shop.
When I was preparing for my trip to Nashville a few weeks ago, I was shopping for something to wear and bought two tops, that I didn’t even end up wearing. In fact, I returned a dress I bought last minute (of course) for another trip and used that credit to get those tops. I’ll probably end up returning them too. Ugh!
I was also on the hunt for cute shoes and didn’t find any. Oh the drama! LOL! OK, so the obvious answer would be…”don’t wait until the last minute to shop.” Duh...I know that. I just don’t know why I can’t get in that state of mind.
Help ladies! Anyone out there know what I’m talking about? How do you deal with it and do you have any advice on how I can work on fixing this?
Torrid and I have been friends for a while now and I’ve noticed the trends come and go. One thing I’ve always loved about them is how they’ve always embraced the retro style. And all of the pieces above are perfect examples of that. I’m especially loving the dresses! Brands like Stop Staring and Queen of Heartz make chic pieces! Even the swimsuits are getting in on the action. Do you own any of their retro designs? Are you a retro kind of girl?
Hey ladies! When was the last time you took a second to shop for dresses at Ashley Stewart?
I was just in there the other day and if I wasn’t in such a big hurry I definitely would’ve tried some of them on. I already own their navy blue 10-way dress, but I’m secretly coveting this red one below. I’m a sucker for a red dress. This is a reminder to wear this color more often. It’s such an eye catcher. Some of the dresses below are “web exclusives” and are on sale. Take a second to shop what’s new & hot at Ashley Stewart.
I don’t know about you but, this Christmas season definitely has me in a shopping mood. Am I the only one? LOL?
Now that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, there’s no need to give up hope on great deals. I found you a few chic handbags all $25 and under. Now, you better hurry, because with some of these prices starting at $11.99 they are probably going to sell out fast if they haven’t already.
(Just click on the handbag to be directed to the retail site.)
