Fall is here and I’m sad to say that my wardrobe is not ready. As much as I wanted summer to be over, this procrastinator hasn’t really done any fall shopping. I blame it on the warm L.A. weather. Now, that I know it’s fall, there are five plus-size tops I want to add to my closet.
You can call it wine, bordeaux, oxblood, or sangria. I call it burgundy and it’s one of my favorite fall colors. It’s all I want to wear when the season rolls around. I love the deep dark tone that can be worn with my favorite pairs of jeans or with winter white look. This heat wave has me dreaming of fall—wishing and wanting the cooler weather. I put together a wish list that was inspired by this must-wear color.
Sigh…I miss school. Yes, I’m one of those people. I love history, writing papers, researching, and all of that good stuff. But, one of my favorite things ever was the back-to-school shopping. Well, just because we’re adults and no longer in school, doesn’t mean we have to necessarily miss out on the fun. We can go out and do a little shopping for ourselves! Oh faux leather…when done right…you’re amazing. Ever since I wore the one from Modamix, I can’t keep you off of my mind. And you’re super easy to transition from late summer into fall and even winter. I think that’s what I love the most about you—the versatility you bring to the table is appreciated.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a “15 under $15” post. I don’t know why? I love these! I do know that the shopping budget this summer is real. No matter how much I want to get out there and spend money, I have to be smart about the purchases I make. Especially, since the hubby and I have decided to buy a house. This is adult territory! This means shopping has to be under control.
Imagine a world where your favorite designer brands are on sale for up to 75% off, free food and drinks, a cool place to lounge, celebrities, and every single dollar goes to a worthy cause. It’s not an imaginary place, I’m describing the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s (OCRF) Super Saturday Los Angeles (AKA Designer Garage Sale) event that I was lucky enough to be invited to. Located at the famous Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, I was in shopping heaven!
My blog post was written as part of my collaboration with eBay.
The countdown to Mother’s Day is on and I think it might be time to start shopping for her gift. She used to be a little hard to shop for. Well…kind of. I’ve always known that her favorite color is red and that she loves the bling and sparkle of jewelry. But, there’s always a need to find her that perfect Mother’s Day gift. Even though I know she’ll love whatever I decide to give her.
