Sigh…I knew it was inevitable. Jelly shoes are back. I don’t know whether to be happy or sad about this. I was a little girl when this shoe became popular (back in the day). And now that it’s making it’s comeback I find myself itching for a pair or two…or three.
I hate being in shoe love. I really do. First it starts off with seeing the shoe online, then moves on to drooling over it, and then thinking about them on your feet. The next thing you know I’m planning an outfit around them and I’m broke. Today, I can only blame ASOS for making me fall in shoe love. I just had to click over to their site today and see their promo for their new collection of Barely There Sandals.
Move over “stripper shoes!” Looks like the lucite heel has found a new home. And this time it’s on the soles of some of the most coveted luxury footwear brands out there. I’m going to admit I did get suckered by this trend. I recently ordered a pair of these Jeffrey Campbell’s. I’m impatiently waiting for them to arrive. Question is…are you going to embrace this shoe trend?
Unless you’re a die hard Victoria’s Secret fan, which there probably are a lot of you (if you can fit in their lingerie), then you might not have known that they sell shoes and other stuff too. Yes, they do. And it’s not just their brand either. I went online looking for bright colored flats and came across a whole bunch of styles that I think you might like.
I can’t believe I haven’t posted these pics yet! These Corso Como shoes are from that preview I attended in early December. They’re stylish and comfy. I admit I’ve never worn a pair before I attended this event. But, up until them I had heard nothing but great things about this brand.
As I sit here writing this my toes are cold. Brrrrrrr…I do love the winter, but I can’t stand when little guys are chilly! This really is something I think about when I’m out buying ladies shoes during the colder months. I know I live in L.A., but I do a lot of traveling where the temperatures tend to drop. We’re only a week into winter and I only own one pair of winter boots…that’s definitely going to have to change!
Last week I was invited to check out four shoe collections and of course I had to accept this invite! Who would say no? It was held at The London West Hollywood, one of my fave L.A. hotels. Designer Coye Nokes was on hand as I checked out her line, all while taking a peek at the Delman collection.
Nothing reminds me of fall more than boots. They are probably one of my most beloved pair of shoes during the chilly months. OK…it doesn’t get that cold here in Los Angeles, but I still adore them. In fact, I know my Uggs aren’t the only boots that will get some wear out of them in a few months. I have my eye on a pair of ankle boots!
Hello shoe lovers! This is the last part of my Nina Shoes exclusive. The entire experience was awesome, but I have to say this stood out the most…the archive collection. The archive room was like a shoe museum. As you’ll see below, there is a lot of history with this company that all started in 1953. As fashion changed so did the styles and colors.
