Nothing reminds me of fall more than boots. They are probably one of my most beloved pair of shoes during the chilly months. OK…it doesn’t get that cold here in Los Angeles, but I still adore them. In fact, I know my Uggs aren’t the only boots that will get some wear out of them in a few months. I have my eye on a pair of ankle boots! Read more
Hello shoe lovers! This is the last part of my Nina Shoes exclusive. The entire experience was awesome, but I have to say this stood out the most…the archive collection. The archive room was like a shoe museum. As you’ll see below, there is a lot of history with this company that all started in 1953. As fashion changed so did the styles and colors. Read more
I need to go shopping. How many times have you heard me say that? LOL! But, this time I’m super serious! I’m supposed to go to New York next week for Full Figured Fashion Week and I am not one bit ready. Not at all. And to make matters worse, I need everything. Especially shoes!! When I realized this, I made my way over to one my favorite shoe stores, Aldo. Every time I walk into this place I immediately see something I love. Why me? Ugh! It sucks to always want want want…Anyways, I found a few pairs (9) that I need in my life. Sigh… Read more
Guess who went out and bought herself a pair of white sandals? Meeeee! Yes, I’ve been wanting a pair for a really long time and I finally got one. Now, normally I don’t like wearing white, because I always spill something on myself. LOL! But, these are shoes and I know they’ll probably be easy to clean. I know I’ll wear them out this summer too! Read more
I’ve always considered Jeffrey Campbell the hippie rocker of the shoe industry. I will admit I only own one pair and I’ve decided this needs to change. The summer 2012 lookbook “Hot Child in the City” has helped influence this need for shoes. Like I really need a reason. LOL! I’m eyeing the “Dollywood” booties. How about you? Read more
Raise your hand if you’ve ever experienced the joy of finding a gladiator sandal that you knew you couldn’t live without? *Raises hand*
Ever since my black gladiator sandals died (the heel broke off), I’ve been on the hunt. Not only do I want cute, by I want comfy. You know that’s my favorite phrase.
That’s when shoe company Naya walked into my life and just in the nick of time. I was seriously ready to give up. Enter the Palomi Sandal ($129.95), in all its glory. I love the herringbone braid feature that runs down the front of the sandal. They have vegetable-tanned leather straps, a contoured footbed, an outsole containing 10-15% cork or rice husk, and an adjustable Velcro®-strap closure.
At first, I wasn’t sure I was going to like them. I’m so hesitant when choosing shoes over the internet. You don’t know how they’re going to fit. That’s the most stressful part, isn’t it? I’ve already worn these sandals a few times and have done quite a bit of walking in them and I have NO complaints yet. They’re comfortable, easy to put on, and chic! They run pretty true to size and I can’t wait to wear them more. I already know I’ll wear these out too! You can find them at Nordstrom in various colors and up to a size 12!
I will scream it from the mountain tops…I LOVE A CHUNKY HEEL!! When I wear a shoe with a thick heel, I feel so much safer than if I wore a stiletto. LOL! I feel more grounded and of course more comfortable. You all know I’m totally in love with my Steve Madden platforms. I wear them all of the time. But, now I’m starting to thing I need a fe more pairs. I do…right? Especially since it’s spring and I need brighter colors and styles in my life. Just agree with me at this point. Read more
