I get to test quite a few beauty products on this blog. And out of all of them…and I mean all of them, mascara is probably my favorite thing to review. I love watching and finding out if it will transform my lashes. Today I tried out the new L’Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions mascara. Read more
I consider myself an equal opportunity shopper. If it’s an item I like, it doesn’t matter where it comes from. And believe me I will shop high and low for something I like. Did I forget to mention I also love a deal? Yes I do! Well…hello there 10DollarMall.com…where “Everything is $10 or Less!” Read more
If a brand claims to be “luxury” anything I’m really curious to find out if it really is. I’m just nosy like that. Mary Kay sent me 10 shades from their True Dimensions lipstick collection and I will admit I was skeptical. “Luxury” is a strong word, you don’t just use it for fun…right? Read more
I love a comfy t-shirt, especially one that’s cute. That’s why I’m a fan of Feminine Funk. You may have seen me wearing their “I Love My Rolls” (sushi) tee a while back. It’s a great off-the-shoulder style that feels like it was made for my curves. Read more
I’ve written about bras a lot on this blog. In fact, I’m always looking to review them in hopes of finding “the one” I can share with you. It’s no secret that a comfy bra makes a happy woman. And when I received two of Torrid’s Everyday Bras to review I couldn’t wait to test them out. Read more

It’s not every day that I immediately fall in love with a bra. In fact, most of the time, I don’t like them and that stinking underwire that always seems to poke me. And if it’s a sexy bra, most of the time it’s not comfortable or practical. Unless it’s this bra from Leading Lady. Read more
Summer is officially here! And I can’t believe I forgot to wish you a “Happy First Day of Summer!” Bad bad blogger! Well…I hope you’re enjoying your summer so far. Have any of you hit the beach or the pool yet?
The heat is definitely rising in parts of the country and I know you’ll be reaching for your swimwear soon. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be grabbing my swimsuit and my new cover-up.
When was the last time you wore a shoe that actually cared about your health? Yeah, I’m with you. I didn’t think they were out there either. That was until I was sent a pair of Earthies.Read more
It’s that time again…Halloween! It’s almost time for jack-o-lanterns, candy and costumes. Do you love dressing up as much as I do? LOL.
Every year I try do a little something different in the costume department. This year, I wanted to go with something a little more…sweet. That’s where this Disney Snow White plus size costume ($63.99) comes in, thanks to HalloweenCostumes.com.
OK, I know what you’re thinking…this costume looks big on me doesn’t it. And you’re right, it is. I decided to go with the XXL and now I’m thinking I should’ve gone with the XL. According to the tag, the XXL is a US size 22-24. Also, I’m 5’6 and the length is average, although I’d love for it to be about six inches longer. But, that’s just me and my obsession with long dresses. The top portion of the costume is a stretchy crushed velvet and is very generous.
The costume does come with the accessories like the red cape and cute little red satin-like headband. I’m so bummed this costume is too big. I’m probably going to have to get it altered and take out that white skirt you see underneath. And the collar might need a little starching. But, I am loving the glitter skirt! Here comes your next Disney princess! LOL!
I’ve said it many times before on this blog, but I’m always looking for a comfortable wireless bra. I get so irritated when a wire starts poking me! And because I am larger in the chest, finding a wireless bra that will actually support me and offer full coverage can be difficult.
That’s why I literally jumped at the chance to review Playtex’s 18 Hour bra. They sent me the Ultimate Lift and Support bra and their Seamless Smoothing bra. I know us large chested women are skeptical when it comes to support. That’s what you have me for. Here’s how I felt about each bra.
I was sent the Ultimate Lift and Support bra in nude.
First of all, yay! for the comfort strap. There’s nothing worse than a bra strap that digs into you. I know some of you want to look cute, but there’s no need for the pain. The strap is wide and thick enough to help relieve any shoulder pressure. They stay in place too.
As for the shaping, the bra does give you the natural shaping of your breast and there’s no wire poking! Woohoo! I accidentally fell asleep with it on the other day, and it didn’t bother me one bit.
Now, I could always use more lift, but this is one of the best wireless bras that’s I’ve tried.
Out of the two bras, the Seamless Smoothing style is my favorite. It was also sent to me in nude.
I liked the shape this bra gave my chest. It gave me a smooth and natural look under my clothes. Which, I think would make a great t-shirt bra.
It has wide side straps to offer the much desired back and side smoothing. To be honest, I didn’t see my fat disappear, but there was some smoothing.
This bra also offers the wide and cushioned straps for shoulder comfort. And I noticed that their “No-Slip” straps do stay in place. I’d buy this bra for the straps alone.
Both bras are in my top five of wireless bras!

The first time I saw Ashley Stewart’s 10-way dress, I was kind of in love. Ok, I was in love. It was in this beautiful red color and from that moment on, it was always on my mind.
So, when Ashley Stewart offered to sponsor an outfit for BlogHer I immediately bought this dress in navy. Yeahhhhh…I want them in each color now.
I ended up wearing it on the last night of BlogHer. I was asked to host an event and I knew this dress would be perfect. Just like the model in the picture, I wore my nude Jessica Simpson suede peep toe pumps. I also bought this beautiful gold layered necklace from Ashely Stewart.
And since there are 10-ways to wear this dress, I went with the strapless look. If you’re wondering how to tie the dress, you’ll be happy to know that they have an awesome video tutorial on their web site. You can find it here: http://www.ashleystewart.com/landing/10_ways_dress
The dress is so comfortable and with so many ways to wear it, you definitely get your money’s worth. It’s only $59!
Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures because I was too busy running around. But, I do have a few pics that Cid from CidStyleFile.com took.
Now, I’m not afraid to admit that I made a MAJOR fashion no-no. I wore a tan colored strapless bra underneath the dress and when someone took photos with a flash, which was EVERYONE, you could see my bra. I think I was just so busy with the whole event I didn’t think about it. So, with a little bit of “editing” here are some pics of the dress.
P.S. After the pics, you HAVE to read about Ashley Stewart’s Passport to Fashion!
This photo was taken by Liz from Peach on Earth. She’s so flippin’ cute! Love her! Thanks Liz!!

This was the perfect outfit for a day of shopping, eating barbecue, and more shopping. I’m always a fan of a flowy tank. Especially, when it has a knotted back where the straps meet. Now, this may seem a little difficult when it comes to choosing a bra. But you can always wear a strapless bra orrrrr one of those convertible bras with those see through straps (that are always attached) in the halter style. Just in case, like me, you need extra support. The tank is a little thin, so make sure you wear a nude bra or tube top under neath or you’ll definitely see the bra. This is the Cacique bra I wore with it.
The jeggings were amazing…as always. They fit great and weren’t too low, they sat above the belly button. Yay! I’m not a fan of low cut jeans! And they have a nice stretch, but still have the denim feel. These run pretty true to size. The 18 fit me perfectly. These are also in the regular length. The Sopia Jegging also comes in extra short, short, tall, and extra tall. Don’t you love the variety? I’m 5’6 and these are still a little long. Regardless, I can see me wearing them a lot!
What do you think of the JET tank and Sophia jeggings?
