Of all the current fashion trends, this is one I do not look forward to. I don’t care if it’s on straight or a plus size girl, I’m not a fan. The dreaded crop top is making a come back. I don’t know why, but I guess belly baring is not just for teens anymore.
This Abby Cropped V-Neck from Alloy is currently sold out. What does that tell us?
I’ve have seen some fashionistas wearing crop tops with short shorts on a few of the “street style” blogs, of course they are all skinny minnies. I haven’t seen any curvy girls wearing this daring trend.
Would you care if they did? I’m a true believer in being confident no matter what you wear.
So, I want to know what you think. Can curvy girls wear crop tops? Take the anonymous poll below.
Listen up Kmart shoppers!
Designed for the effortlessly chic woman, the line is stylish and contemporary. (And affordable!) There are splashes of color and bold prints that are trendy but not overpowering. And they used fabrics like satin and denim to mix it up. Many of the pieces can definitely translate from day to night looks.
LYS Senior Designer, and plus-size woman, Nicole Magnani sees LYS as redefining the plus-size fashion landscape, bringing her personal eye for style and ease to the clothing. She says, “Kmart will be the destination where curvy women shop for clothes they feel great in, want to be seen in, and look amazing wearing!”
Take a look at the video below. It features model Fluvia Lacerda and Maddy Figueroa-Jones of Plus Model Magazine checking out the LYS line for the first time. I love their honesty! FYI…Fluvia and Maddy are two of my favorite peeps in the whole wide world! Why? Because they understand and represent the curvy women of the world. Enough said.

Why do you hate me and my brokeness (I know that’s not a word, but oh well)? You continue to produce amazingly chic clothes that my wallet can not support at this moment. Although, I hear you’re getting a lot of flack for your shipping issues. But because you’re so awesome…I will forgive you.
And can I just say; I am loving this neutral colored trend you have going on (below). It’s like you know what my closet is missing right now. How do you do that?
It’s kinda like you’re a fashion genius! OK, I know you’re on trend, but I figure if I keep flattering you then we might just become the best of friends.
Maybe one day, you’ll actually open a store in Los Angeles and we can rule the world together. Until then, continue creating fab clothes and I’ll continue to love you.
Spring has already started blooming over at Jessica London. Today, they launched “There’s something special happening this Spring” campaign. It’s all about the new spring fashions! They are even offering free shipping on orders of $75 or more!
“Jessica London® has designed a beautiful portfolio of Spring leather with more colors and styles, as well as high definition denim with new and improved fit jeans specially made for the plus size woman. The collection also features modernized fits on all its pants (denim, career pants and suits) and a broader selection of plus size dresses.”
They’ve also launched the “What’s your sign?” swimsuit campaign of swim solutions for all body types. Check out the video below.
It’s not every day when you fall in love with an article of clothing. I will admit I’m in love with my Sejour leggings. I know you might be thinking this sounds silly, but unless you own a pair you wouldn’t understand.
Many pairs of leggings have come into my life and they’ve been OK. Sometimes they’ll fade after one wash or a new hole will appear out of no where. You know how frustrating that can be.
Sometimes, you just need a decent pair to get through a season. Thank goodness Nordstrom sent me this pair to try out. It’s like they were reading my fashion mind.
The Sejour Rayon Legging ($38) has been nothing but amazing. I’ve washed and dried them many times and they have maintained their color. The rayon material makes them so soft and I adore the slight sheen.
I’ve worn them a lot…I mean a lot and I can’t stress how comfortable they are. Just do me a favor and try them on and tell me what you think.
**Disclaimer: I was not paid for this post. Although, the item was gifted, the above is my true and honest opinion.
Floral prints for spring are a no brainer. I love a flowy skirt, billowy blouse, or flirty dress with this print. I know most of the country is STILL covered in snow, but let’s just close our eyes for a second. Imagine yourself taking a walk in the park wearing one of the skirts below with a tank top and sandals.

Inspired by the Sejour Zip Jacket (worn here) and it’s asymmetrical zipper, I went on a hunt for a few similar pieces. The Alloy sweater (the first one) is my favorite!
According to Dictionary.com, asymmetrical is defined as not symmetrical; lacking symmetry; misproportioned. I think that’s what I love most about these pieces below. It makes them kind of a rebel in the sweater world. Kinda like us curvy girls. Always working against what is considered the “norm.” Don’t you just love fashion? LOL
