L.A’s Beautiful Day

Another beautiful day in Los Angeles. It was so nice out, it made me want to throw a skirt on. That is rare! And you know me and my comfy clothes. Nothing restricting here! After a morning of doing laundry, I spent the day with my dad and even helped him get a new phone. A very simple cell phone by the way! No camera, no internet, and he blocked texting. He’s hilarious…my dad is very old school and I love him for that! After, we met up with my hubby for a delicious meal at my favorite (in the whole wide world) Chinese food restaurant. Rumor is, my mom ate Chinese food 3 times a week when she was pregnant with me. That explains a lot!

Gray and Comfy

Last night, the hubby and I met up with his sister and brother to watch our lovely Los Angeles Lakers. I wasn’t really in the mood to dress up or anything. I was in one of my good ol’ comfy moments. Seems like I’ve been in that kind of mood lately. By the way, I haven’t worn a denim jacket since I was a little girl! I got this gray one at Old Navy for $7!! It has a very worn and thrifted feel to it. I wish it was more fitted, I felt like my waist got lost in this outfit. And yes…the Lakers did win!!

I’m a simple outfit kind of girl!

Jeans, cardigans, and I, we go way back. There’s nothing I love more than throwing on a comfy pair of jeans, a tank top, and a simple black cardigan. They make me a happy chica! Here are two casual outfits where accessories and shoes can make a difference. Outfit #1 was for a dinner and I wore outfit #2 to the Sassy City Chicks event. I am obsessed with the gladiator sandals. Love them!!

Simply Simple

My hubby and I went out last night for a pre-bithday date night. Nothing fancy, so I just threw on a comfy and simple outfit and my hair in a bun. We went to eat at one of my fave resturaunts-Chyn King on 3rd/La Brea in L.A. So yummy! Then we went to the Little Bar…love this place. It was a chill night…one of my favorite kind of nights. Then I just sat there and counted down until midnight…second by second…until I was a year older. Blah! It’s OK…age is nothing but a number anyways. Lol. Right?

Easter Weekend

I spent this past Easter weekend in Arizona with my family and let me tell you it was an exhausting one! It was a last minute trip, but it was nice to get out of town for a minute. I got back late last night and I am sooooooo happy to be back home. L.A. has my heart for sure!

I wore this outfit for Easter Sunday (with a black cardigan for church). Later, I switched out the heels for white gladiator sandals. It was a pretty comfy outfit, especially the pants. I love the buttons. I was battling with my hair…and I lost. Yuck. My mom was the photographer this time…she’s pretty good…a little blurry…but good.

Sometimes, I like to dress a little girlie. When this feminine mood strikes, I throw on a skirt and a frilly top. Believe me when I say it doesn’t happen very often. But, it does happen. Today, was one of those days. I am in love with this paisley skirt! I found it at Macy’s for only $7.99! I told you I’m a bargainista! This is my first time wearing it. It makes me feel like a hippie! (That’s a good thing.) I was going to try and add this pretty violet belt, but I HATE to over accessorize. It’s one of my pet peeves. So, I went without it. A great outfit for a beautiful spring day in L.A.!

It’s Monday?

Hey beauties!

You’re going to have to excuse me today. I definitely have a case of the Mondays! I am soooooo pooped. It was a very fun-filled and exhausting weekend.

I spent a lot of time with family and even got some shopping done…as you can see in the pic. That’s a new dress I picked up, with my favorite leggings and boots. I wore that to a family function with my black cardigan. It was super comfy!! I’m not very daring when it comes to prints but, what the heck…why not? Lol.

I’m thinking about doing a video later and I’ll show you what I bought. I might even do a little jewelry giveaway! Yay!!

Dress Up

It’s a blah day…

I finally bought a new camera and a tripod to go with it. But, I’m not happy with the way I look in any of today’s photos. That’s why you only see the top half of me. Don’t mind the double chin. Lol. I’m not loving myself right now. So blah! Anywhooo…it’s a case of the Wednesdays. The empire top and flats I’m wearing are old, but comfy and my pretty cousin Arlene gave me the necklace for Christmas. I love the little black bow on it. I’m wearing black leggings btw, which I can’t get enough of. Ok ladies…off to have Chinese food for dinner at my fave spot. Toodles!!

A day well spent…

Today was a beautiful day! I spent the day with my mom, dad, and my little brother. My parents are divorced so spending time with both at the same time is rare. Look at the cute dress my mom gave me! She’s too sweet.

We had lunch together, then spent a couple of hours at thrift stores.Yay! Bargain shopping at its best. I dressed super comfy, in my favorite boots of course. Very casual…kinda boring actually. I wanted to add a simple scarf, but it was a little warm here in L.A. I found a lot of great things, but I’m in a “what I need” more than “what I want” shopping mode. I picked up that cargo blazer and two skinny belts. Spent a total of $8!! I think I might head out again this weekend. Wish me luck!

L.A. Rain

If there is one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love the rain. Yes, a “California Girl” loves the gray and cold weather. That’s why I was super happy to hear rain in today’s forecast. It gives me a reason to dress cozy and comfy. Good thing I was comfy, I had a doctor appointment and a few errands to run. Leggings, a roomy top, and my Uggs have become my new jeans and t-shirt alternative. Oh…btw… I love my Uggs!! I am not going to lie, I used to think they were ugly. I know! That was until I planted these bad boys on my feet. Now, I’m in Ugg heaven.

P.S. Today I found out I really love Lay’s Limon chips and I don’t like rude people. So, if you’re rude…stop it!! No one likes a rude lady. Be nice.

An Evening Affair

What a fun night! My hubby and I were invited to a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. It was a true honor to be there and witness their love. There was a live band and everything. Yes, I do dance.

I was worried the dress might have been too short or showed too much cleavage. But, I think it was OK. Right? lol

This whole outfit costs….$65! Not bad, considering I can wear these pieces over and over. The only thing about the dress was the belt. It kept coming undone, so I had to fix it with an emergency bobby pin. The shoes weren’t the most comfortable, but they worked. I even got a few compliments.

My feet hurt! I spent 4 hours at the mall today. I promise I’m not complaining about the shopping part, just the feet. I picked up a few accessories for that F21 dress I bought. I hope it all comes together. I also spent my Sephora gift card from Xmas. And I stopped by H&M and found out they carry size 14 and sometimes 16. I think we should start a petition to get them to carry our sizes! Who’s with me?
