When it comes to mixing patterns, I can honestly admit I like to take tiny little baby steps. Anyone can throw on a few patterns and walk out the door. Not me. I’m still cautious when it comes to some styling adventures. But, I am trying. Inspired by all of the daring fashionistas out there—I attempted mixing patterns of two of my favorite accessories. You may have seen me wear this Kamali Kulture dress here in New York City. This time, I wanted to warm it up with a pair of houndstooth printed tights and ankle boots that Lane Bryant…
We may be consumed with Christmas, but it’s still technically fall—and I’m definitely feeling it! Living in Los Angeles, you never really get a true fall season. But, I feel like the weather has already been different. So much, that it’s OK to pull out the wraps, tights, and ankle booties. All in my favorite fall colors of course! The minute I saw this wrap from Lane Bryant (similar), I had to buy it. Not only did I love the colors, but t’s so warm and comfy. And it made a great partner to this burgundy Forever 21 midi dress (similar).…
I think it’s been years since I’ve worn any type of turtleneck. Probably not since I was in the military. But, the minute I saw this Zelie For She Plaid Tunic, I knew it would break my turtleneck dry spell. I fell in love with this tunic the moment I saw it. I mean the print and the color are daring for me. But, with a little clicking here and a little clicking there—it was mine!
Remember how I keep saying I’m going to try and step out of my fashion box? That little box that I’m super comfortable in…yeah that one. Well, I’m trying guys and it all starts with wearing more dresses…and prints…and colors other than black. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with any of that, but there are just way too many fab designs out there for me to stay stuck in that box. So, I partnered with Yona New York to show off their Floral Charmeuse Drape Dress and give two lucky readers the chance to win their own!
You may have read about my always stylish and supportive friend Ivory. I can always count on her for style inspiration and wise words. One thing she taught me was to try clothes on, regardless of what the size is on the label. If it looks like it might fight, just try it on and see. Sometimes it doesn’t fit and sometimes it fits like a glove! Besides, we all know that not all fashion brands are sized the same. Some run bigger than others.

Never underestimate the power of active wear. For the past six months, I’ve been dealing with this bum ankle. You know, the one I severely sprained in San Diego. Regardless, I’ve been on a health journey, complete with it’s ups and downs. But, the minute I put on my activewear, something just clicks inside of me. I know it’s time to get down to business.

Ask anyone who knows me…I’m kind of obsessed with fall and all that goes along with it. Like…scarves. Yes, I might have a scarf addiction. But, we’re not here to just talk about that. Let’s chat about dressing for fall period. Even though it’s still really warm here in Los Angeles, I do have my favorite season on the brain. I partnered with Kohl’s again to show you what fall plus size fashion I consider my must-haves.
