It doesn’t have to sparkle, but it does have to stand out. When it comes to my New Year’s Eve jewelry, I always lean towards statement pieces. There’s just something about jewelry that does the talking for you. It’s an easy way to dress up a simply chic dress or a way to add a lot of drama to any cocktail dress. Don’t be afraid! Be bold and daring!
Aren’t we always on the look out for affordable but chic jewelry? OK, I’m always on the lookout for affordably chic jewelry. And lately I’ve had this obsession with Trollbead charm bracelets. I blame my best friend. But, each bead adds up and it just gets expensive. I’ve found my solution with Cutey charm bracelets.
Cutey, a UK line, is looking to bring you stylish, quality and easily customizable jewelry. They sent me the Oneiroi (£12.99) charm bracelet and was instantly charmed. No pun intended. They only carry charm bracelets at the moment, but they’re hoping to carry other pieces in the future.
I’d totally recommend checking them out if you’re a fan of charm bracelets. Right now they offer free UK shipping and they do ship worldwide. And if you use code DISC10, you get 10% off until 12/30/11. Hurry and order today!
Disclosure: I was not paid for this review, but I was gifted a bracelet. The above is my true and honest opinion.
I know we all have shopping on the brain at this point of the week. Thanksgiving is a little over a day away and Black Friday is all you’re going to hear from here on out. I’m going to pass on posting BF sales here on the blog, I think everyone else is going to do a great job of that. Instead, I’m bringing you jewelry. Actually…gold cuffs. I’ve been looking for a few lately. You already know my love for cuffs since my big hands don’t fit in regular bracelets. And all of these would compliment a range of fall colors. I seriously don’t know which one I’d pick. They’re all gorgeous!
There’s nothing like a stunning cocktail ring to brighten your day…and your outfit. With the holidays around the corner, it’s time to start looking for that statement piece of jewelry. Here’s a little bling inspiration.
The cocktail ring, also known as a dinner ring, is meant to stand out . Just look at the beauties I found below. They’re stunning…especially the vintage-inspired ones. Finding one is easy, almost every jewelry store or department has them. And they really do vary in price. I’m going to start looking for a few to grace my fingers. They’ll be great for those holiday parities!
Do you have a cocktail ring? Where do you like wearing it?
I love when I spot a new jewelry trend. Especially if it’s one that can be worn by anyone and everyone. I first spotted this beautiful black beaded Kate Spade New York ‘cut to the chase’ bib statement necklace last month. I found a few other necklaces below that I’d love to own, they range in price from $7.80-$650. Not only could these be worn in the fall, but also into the winter with your favorite holiday dress.
How would you wear a black beaded necklace?
I’m always looking for the next trend, this time I found one I really like! The neck enhancing collar necklace. And it’s exactly what it is, a necklace that is supposed to rest on your collar bone. I love all of these too, like always. Most of them are from Topshop…looks like I’m going shopping soon.
Ooooohhh…I bet you can find a lot of these at vintage or thrift stores. My neck needs one…or two.
Do you love the collar necklace?
Who wants to be my friend? Anyone?
Fine! Then you’re not got getting a friendship bracelet from me. I’m sorry but that’s the new rule around here. LOL.
OK…that’s really not the rule, but you should grab one for you and your BFF. I bought this Lauinger bracelet from Aldo yesterday. I kind of feel like I’m 12 again.
I only plan on wearing them with a casual outfit. Wait…did I just by myself my own friendship bracelet? Well, I am my own best friend.
If you don’t want a style like this one, take a peek below. The Juicy Couture bracelet is pretty cute.
You can even dress them up! Look at this great DIY my friend Kelsi from Dedicated Follower of Fashion created.
What do you think?
Are friendship bracelets for you?

Yes, you’re going to see a lot of red, white, and blue inspired looks as we get closer to this 4th of July weekend. I wanted to go a little bit of a different route to offer you some color inspiration. A lot of these pieces can be paired together or just worn alone. I chose a lot of casual pieces, because one…it’s summer…and two…it’s the weekend. And it’s going to be hot!
I’m looking at this and I can’t help but think how much I love all of these colors right now. Are you going to honor our country’s independence this weekend with a little red, white, and blue?
I’m always on the look out for different pieces of jewelery. Especially, different shapes. And I’ve kind of been leaning towards triangles. It’s something a little different and always interesting. There’s nothing like adding a little bit of shape to your necklace, ring, bracelet, or your earrings. I love that black Marc Jacobs bangle. It’s on sale too! It probably won’t fit me because I have man hands! LOL
I will tell you right now, that I loooooove Rachel Roy. Who doesn’t? She’s not only an amazingly beautiful woman, but she is a talented designer that really get’s it. Her designs are effortlessly chic. Plain and simple.
I really wish she made plus sizes, but I can tell you that her XL from the Rachel Rachel Roy line that is sold at Macy’s could possibly fit up to a U.S. size 16/18. I bought the 24/7 dress, because I LOVED it, but it was a little too short for me. It hurt me to return it. If you’re in that size range, I would definitely encourage you to try a few of her pieces.
Now, the real reason for this post. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Rachel Roy also designs jewelery. I know! Just look at her pieces below. I have my eye on the elephant ring and the spike pendant necklace. Divine!
We’ve heard all about color blocking when it comes to your clothes, but how can we leave out our accessories? Shoes, jewelery, and handbags need color blocking love too! It’s always a great way to liven up any outfit. What do you think? Is color blocking with accessories for you?
