Cocktail Ring Bling

There’s nothing like a stunning cocktail ring to brighten your day…and your outfit. With the holidays around the corner, it’s time to start looking for that statement piece of jewelry. Here’s a little bling inspiration.

The cocktail ring, also known as a dinner ring, is meant to stand out . Just look at the beauties I found below. They’re stunning…especially the vintage-inspired ones.  Finding one is easy, almost every jewelry store or department has them. And they really do vary in price. I’m going to start looking for a few to grace my fingers. They’ll be great for those holiday parities!

Do you have a cocktail ring? Where do you like wearing it?

The Black Beaded Necklace

I love when I spot a new jewelry trend. Especially if it’s one that can be worn by anyone and everyone. I first spotted this beautiful black beaded Kate Spade New York ‘cut to the chase’ bib statement necklace last month. I found a few other necklaces below that I’d love to own, they range in price from $7.80-$650. Not only could these be worn in the fall, but also into the winter with your favorite holiday dress.

How would you wear a black beaded necklace?

The Collar Necklace

I’m always looking for the next trend, this time I found one I really like! The neck enhancing collar necklace. And it’s exactly what it is, a necklace that is supposed to rest on your collar bone. I love all of these too, like always. Most of them are from Topshop…looks like I’m going shopping soon.

Ooooohhh…I bet you can find a lot of these at vintage or thrift stores. My neck needs one…or two.

Do you love the collar necklace?

Let’s be friends.

Who wants to be my friend? Anyone?

Fine! Then you’re not got getting a friendship bracelet from me.  I’m sorry but that’s the new rule around here. LOL.

OK…that’s really not the rule, but you should grab one for you and your BFF. I bought this Lauinger bracelet from Aldo yesterday. I kind of feel like I’m 12 again.

I only plan on wearing them with a casual outfit. Wait…did I just by myself my own friendship bracelet? Well, I am my own best friend.

If you don’t want a style like this one, take a peek below. The Juicy Couture bracelet is pretty cute.

You can even dress them up! Look at this great DIY my friend Kelsi from Dedicated Follower of Fashion created.

Casually…Red, White, and Blue

Yes, you’re going to see a lot of red, white, and blue inspired looks as we get closer to this 4th of July weekend. I wanted to go a little bit of a different route to offer you some color inspiration. A lot of these pieces can be paired together or just worn alone. I chose a lot of casual pieces, because one…it’s summer…and two…it’s the weekend. And it’s going to be hot!

I’m looking at this and I can’t help but think how much I love all of these colors right now. Are you going to honor our country’s independence this weekend with a little red, white, and blue?

What color inspiration are you loving? The red, white, or blue

TRI this ANGLE with Jewelery

I’m always on the look out for different pieces of jewelery. Especially, different shapes. And I’ve kind of been leaning towards triangles. It’s something a little different and always interesting. There’s nothing like adding a little bit of shape to your necklace, ring, bracelet, or your earrings. I love that black Marc Jacobs bangle. It’s on sale too! It probably won’t fit me because I have man hands! LOL

Do you own any triangle shaped jewelery?

Rachel Roy the Jewelery Designer

I will tell you right now, that I loooooove Rachel Roy. Who doesn’t? She’s not only an amazingly beautiful woman, but she is a talented designer that really get’s it. Her designs are effortlessly chic. Plain and simple.

I really wish she made plus sizes, but I can tell you that her XL from the Rachel Rachel Roy line that is sold at Macy’s could possibly fit up to a U.S. size 16/18. I bought the 24/7 dress, because I LOVED it, but it was a little too short for me. It hurt me to return it. If you’re in that size range, I would definitely encourage you to try a few of her pieces.

Now, the real reason for this post. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Rachel Roy also designs jewelery. I know! Just look at her pieces below. I have my eye on the elephant ring and the spike pendant necklace. Divine!

Did you know she designed jewelry? Are you loving her designs?

Honor Earth Day with Recycled Jewelery

Maganda Recycled and Revamped Jewelery

Today is Earth Day, a day to appreciate and bring awareness to the Earth’s environment (although we should be doing that every day). Did you know there are so many things you can do to honor our planet?

As a fashionista there are more than enough ways to be fabulous, chic, and green. In middle school, I was taught the three R’s-Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

You can incorporate these three R’s in your every day life…fashionably of course. And if you’re like me…you should start with baby steps, like recycled jewelery. This is when items are reused or reworked into pieces of jewelery. I went on the hunt on one of my favorite sites, Etsy. They are all about handmade items. I found a few sellers below who caught my attention with beautiful and eclectic pieces of jewelery.

Which piece of recycled jewelery is your favorite?

All Bangled Up!

Welcome to my new obsession, wooden bangle bracelet sets. Yes, it has to be a set. My friend Ivory has really inspired me to start wearing large bangle bracelets. She always rocks them! Today, I went shopping with my mom and she bought me an early birthday gift, which included a set from Avenue. She did buy me other stuff, but you’ll have to wait and see those. If you haven’t noticed, I have to buy my bracelets at plus size stores. I have my dad to thank for my large man hands. LOL. I love the tribal feel you get from these and they pretty much go with anything. Take a look at the wide assortment below.

Betsey Johnson’s Cats & Elephants

I’m in a really big hurry this morning, but I just had to show you these adorable cat and elephant pieces from the jewelery line of the creative Betsey Johnson. Of course my heart belongs to vintage cat collection, but the elephants are too cute! This woman never runs out of ideas. What it must be like to live in her head. Anywhoo, enjoy the Betsey love!
