When it comes to my personal style, I never put comfort on the back burner. I just can’t. No matter where I’m going, my outfit has to be comfortable. That’s just how it has to be. It’s something that took me a long time to learn, unfortunately. It comes with age I guess. And that’s perfectly fine with me. Being comfortable equals happiness. And I love being happy with my fashion choices. Read more
Bright and merry is just the way I like it, when it comes to my outfits. I love adding a bright accessory here-and-there. It can really bring a look together (especially one you’ve worn before). When Fossil contacted me and asked me to choose a few of their latest accessories, I immediately looked for something that would stand out. As you’ll see below, I think I selected the perfect pieces. If you follow the world of plus size fashion, the name SK WiLBUR may sound familiar to you. As a woman’s wear designer, Wilbur Pack Jr. created fashion for woman of all sizes. His distinct and bold line was featured on my blog last year when he showed at Full Figured Fashion Week. In fact, this summer I met up with Wilbur in NYC again, only to find out that he has now moved on to designing handbags! Read more
I’m finally home from traveling over the past 10 days! I was really homesick, you may have seen some of my tweets and posts here and there. But, now that I’m in my casa, I can post like a normal person. And the first one I want to share with you is from New York when I visited the Nina Shoes showroom. Yes, again! Read more

When I first saw Dareen Hakim’s handbags at MAGIC LV, I knew there was something special about them. The shapes and colors instantly caught my eye. Check out the new collections below, which are no exception.
“Sumptuous leathers, arabesque calligraphy, dramatic hues – all form the basis of style behind each Dareen Hakim creation. Celebrating at once tradition and function, her debut collection’s clutches enjoy a favored status among women inspired to carry a contagiously cool piece of art, one that instantly communicates both warmth and chic.” -DareenHakim.com
In honor of Mother’s Day, they are offering free shipping worldwide until May 13, 2012.
Under the Sea Collection
“The inscriptions on a Dareen Hakim bag reflect the designer’s fascination with the momentous spirit of her childhood. Within the turmoil of Lebanon’s earlier days, she saw people value life and cherish every day as though it was their last. This combined feeling of resilience, strength, happiness, love, laughter and appreciation of beauty in life’s simple pleasures left an impression she shares through the subtle scripted messages on her bags.” -DareenHakim.com

Mustard is the new yellow…for now. Until lemon comes in and sweeps us off our feet this summer. If you would’ve tried to get to wear this color as a teenager I would’ve responded with a big fat NO! I was not adventurous at all. I do know that this color is catching my eye right now. It’s the right amount of pop for any outfit. It’s vibrant without being overwhelming. Does that make sense? LOL…whatever. I like it. How about you? Are you loving mustard?
Looking at handbags online is not easy. I thought it would be, because it’s not like looking at them in a store. I was wrong…I want them all. And as you can see, I’m kind of in a stripe mood right now. I’ve seen people wearing them like crazy. But, I’d like to be a twist on it and go with a striped clutch or handbag.
What do you think? Are stripes for you?
Are you having a down in the dumps kind of day?
Stop it! It’s only Thursday. That means you only have one more day until the weekend. Woohoo! I found a few bags that I thought could possibly “brighten” your day and push through to tomorrow. And since I’m working on being more adventurous fashionably, these bags are definitely knocking on the door. I always stick to black bags. Hopefully these will serve as inspiration. Besides, there’s nothing like adding a little color to your day!
FYI…LOVE this first bag, it’s by Donald J Pliner! Hot!
Now that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, there’s no need to give up hope on great deals. I found you a few chic handbags all $25 and under. Now, you better hurry, because with some of these prices starting at $11.99 they are probably going to sell out fast if they haven’t already.

Inspired by an obviously cool guy in line at Disney World, I think fanny packs are way underrated. Bear with me for a second…
I mean…if you love having pockets, then you should love having everything you need at arms reach, right at the waist, and without having to add that uneeded stress to your shoulders. Right?
Are you agreeing with me yet?
But…the term fanny packs is soooooo 1980′s. How about we just call them what they’re referred to now…”belt bags.” I’ve seen a few people wear them, but it’s not really a full on trend..yet?
I really like this Michael Kors Vienna braided leather belt bag (above), but I have a high waist, it would sit too high on me. Besides, I doubt any of these are made for plus sizes (hint hint retailers!). I found a few belt bags below, but only in straight sizes.
What do you think? Would you wear a belt bag?
