Mustard is the new yellow…for now. Until lemon comes in and sweeps us off our feet this summer. If you would’ve tried to get to wear this color as a teenager I would’ve responded with a big fat NO! I was not adventurous at all. I do know that this color is catching my eye right now. It’s the right amount of pop for any outfit. It’s vibrant without being overwhelming. Does that make sense? LOL…whatever. I like it. How about you? Are you loving mustard?
Looking at handbags online is not easy. I thought it would be, because it’s not like looking at them in a store. I was wrong…I want them all. And as you can see, I’m kind of in a stripe mood right now. I’ve seen people wearing them like crazy. But, I’d like to be a twist on it and go with a striped clutch or handbag.
What do you think? Are stripes for you?
Are you having a down in the dumps kind of day?
Stop it! It’s only Thursday. That means you only have one more day until the weekend. Woohoo! I found a few bags that I thought could possibly “brighten” your day and push through to tomorrow. And since I’m working on being more adventurous fashionably, these bags are definitely knocking on the door. I always stick to black bags. Hopefully these will serve as inspiration. Besides, there’s nothing like adding a little color to your day!
FYI…LOVE this first bag, it’s by Donald J Pliner! Hot!
Now that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, there’s no need to give up hope on great deals. I found you a few chic handbags all $25 and under. Now, you better hurry, because with some of these prices starting at $11.99 they are probably going to sell out fast if they haven’t already.
(Just click on the handbag to be directed to the retail site.)
Inspired by an obviously cool guy in line at Disney World, I think fanny packs are way underrated. Bear with me for a second…
I mean…if you love having pockets, then you should love having everything you need at arms reach, right at the waist, and without having to add that uneeded stress to your shoulders. Right?
Are you agreeing with me yet?
But…the term fanny packs is soooooo 1980’s. How about we just call them what they’re referred to now…”belt bags.” I’ve seen a few people wear them, but it’s not really a full on trend..yet?
I really like this Michael Kors Vienna braided leather belt bag (above), but I have a high waist, it would sit too high on me. Besides, I doubt any of these are made for plus sizes (hint hint retailers!). I found a few belt bags below, but only in straight sizes.
What do you think? Would you wear a belt bag?
Tory Burch has always caught my eye, especially with that logo! I’m sorry, I’m not normally about logos, but I can’t help but look when I see someone wearing one of her pieces. Especially if it’s an accessory.
I have featured Tory in one of my first Style & Designer pieces here.
I was doing some research last night for the next issue of Plus Model Magazine and I couldn’t help but fall in love every time I saw one of her handbags. So, today I went looking for a few pieces and found these.
She’s keeps everything so classic and clean. Something I really appreciate when it comes to accessories. I would take everything here, because I can’t choose just one.
Although, the boots are kind of calling my name.
What would you rather wear, the flats or the boots?
You can call it a tribal, aztec, or even southwestern print. It actually reminds me of a sarape. That’s a brightly colored mexican blanket or shawl, by the way.
I remember having a blanket like this as a teenager, but that was in my anti-bright color days. So, it was taupe, black, and white. Whenever I look at these, I feel like go to Tijuana and buying a few of those blankets. LOL.
Ove the past two days of shopping, I’ve seen the print every where. Especially, in the handbag world. I even bought myself one today at Old Navy. I also saw a lot of ponchos in this sprint. It’s really boho chic or is it surfer girl?
Whatever it is, I like it! Do you?
In today’s Eco & animal friendly fashion world, I’m always interested to see what new item will catch my eye. I was supposed to attend the launch party of the Gunas collection below, but couldn’t make it. All I have is this lookbook to drool over. This Eco-vegan luxury line. I do wish I could feel the handbags myself, curious about the quality. What do you think? Is Eco the way to go?
You’re curvy, you adore Hip Hop, maybe you skate, and you love Streetwear fashion. I knew you were out there.
After spending time in New York City, I can definitely appreciate all types of fashion. Especially style that comes from the streets. I am so jealous of those who can actually pull it off. And now that streetwear had definitely gone retro, I’m getting flash backs just writing this.
I was checking out Def Shop, a Hip Hop and Streetwear online boutique from Europe, and I instantly fell for the retro inspired shoes. Especially, those nice sneakers, like the Nike’s. This is all sooooo 1980’s, from the Adidas bags, brightly colored watches, headphones, and wayfarer sunglasses. I hope I’m not showing my age here.
Don’t worry ladies. If the Hip Hop look isn’t for you, you can also get your bohemian chic look with brands like Flamenco Chic, Italy Style, and Coolway. They do have plus sizes too! And I need that blue scarf in my life.
Remember, the best thing about buying from a European store is the opportunity of buying brands that you can’t normally find in the U.S. Yay! for online shopping and international shipping.
Yes, you’re going to see a lot of red, white, and blue inspired looks as we get closer to this 4th of July weekend. I wanted to go a little bit of a different route to offer you some color inspiration. A lot of these pieces can be paired together or just worn alone. I chose a lot of casual pieces, because one…it’s summer…and two…it’s the weekend. And it’s going to be hot!
I’m looking at this and I can’t help but think how much I love all of these colors right now. Are you going to honor our country’s independence this weekend with a little red, white, and blue?
Handbag shopping is not for the weak. Buying that perfect bag isn’t an easy task. There’s so much to consider; style, color, price, size, designer, and the wow factor. I know! It’s stressful just thinking about it, right?
What if I told you there’s a place, where you can not only shop from an inventory of over 25,000 bags, but you can also sell your own handbags, interact with the sellers, and chat with your buyers all in one place? Do I have your bag obsessed attention now?
Bags Bonanza, is an online marketplace selling designer bags at discount prices. Now, it’s not just any normal marketplace. In fact it’s the best eBay alternative out there. Search for your future bag by brand, style, color, material, and price. It’s sooooo easy to use.
In fact, I’ve been on this vintage handbag kick lately. I found three vintage bags that I’m really interested in. The Dooney and Bourke ($144.95), Gucci ($139.00), and Coach ($18.95). OK, I know the Coach bag is an amazing price, but I’m loving the other one’s too! Ugh! Decisions…decisions.
If you decide you’d rather make a little cash, then selling on Bags Bonanza is really the way to go. Remember, when I said they were the best eBay alternative? Well, they are. Just take a look at their fees. They are over 50% lower. You can even start selling right away and you’ll get automatic Google promotion. Excuse me while I sift through my bag inventory…I just might start selling.
Find the handbag that was meant to be yours. Brands like Fendi, Christian Dior, Burberry, Chloe, and Louis Vuitton are waiting for you! Visit www.Bags.Bonanza.com today.
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Bonanza.com, the best eBay alternative. The above is my true and honest opinion.
We’ve heard all about color blocking when it comes to your clothes, but how can we leave out our accessories? Shoes, jewelery, and handbags need color blocking love too! It’s always a great way to liven up any outfit. What do you think? Is color blocking with accessories for you?
