I miss being a kid. Going back to school was always so much fun. Well…mostly because I got to wear my new clothes, carry my cute lunchbox, and stuff my backpack with all kinds of cool accessories. You know, all that comes along with the first day of school. Ahhhhh…the good old days. I still feel like today’s fashion for kid’s and teens is so much cooler than when I was growing up. I was taking a look at the Kmart Back to School page and they have the cutest stuff.

I love my papa with all of my heart. He is such an amazing man, he has a big heart, he’s a hard worker, and he’s unlike any other. No, he’s not perfect and that’s OK. On this Father’s Day, I’m reflecting on our relationship. And it’s so very different today, compared to when I was a kid. We weren’t very close. I guess you can say we didn’t have that typical father and daughter relationship. In fact, it wasn’t until I was in my late teens when that all changed for the better.

As you all know, Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer! And I’ll be out of town honoring the holiday with my best friend for her bachelorette weekend. Of course, I didn’t want to leave you guys hanging over the weekend. So, I decided to give you a chance to win a little something something with my first summer giveaway!
It’s time for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s 2nd Annual Super Saturday sale in Los Angeles! The charity fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Santa Monica at The Barker Hanger. It’s hosted by Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman with Molly Sims and Scott Stuber. I attended last year and it is really a shopper’s delight. The New York Times has even called it “the Rolls Royce of garage sales.” and they’re giving me a pair of passes to give away to you!
Dehydrated and dry skin is not one of my favorite things. Unfortunately, this is something that can happen as we age. And it’s definitely what I’m dealing with right now. Turns out derma e® wants to help out with this skin dilemma by offering you guys a special giveaway.
Drybar…where have you been my entire life? I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without visiting you. And now you have this new Mudslide Treatment to give my hair the yumminess it needs. Yes, we are now officially BFF’s. I was invited out by Dry Bar to experience this new treatment and all that is wonderful of this magical place. I even created a little video!

When was the last time you went shopping for workout gear? I’ve written about the struggle when it comes to finding plus size active wear. Yeah, it bites. Well, long gone are the days of working out in a t-shirt and sweatpants that weren’t meant for today’s active woman. I was recently introduced to Kohl’s Tek Gear collection and I am officially a fan.

Where are my JLO fans? I know you can’t see me, but I’m raising my hand like crazy right now. If you’re a true fan, then you know she’s not only a multi-talented performer, but she’s also in the fashion game with her own collection available at Kohl’s. I had a chance to try out a few Jennifer Lopez plus size pieces and I only love her more now (if that’s even possible).
Curves and Chaos is officially 5 (insert confetti, champagne, and balloons here)! 2010 seems just like yesterday. Doesn’t it? I want to say time flies when you’re having fun, but I don’t think that phrase will work here. This Curves and Chaos journey has been so much more than “fun.” If you would’ve told me then, what I know today—I would have never believed you.

OK…so we’ve already established that 2015 is going to be an awesome year…right? Of course it will! Because it’s all about loving your self inside and out. And if you’re anything like me, you’re definitely into trying a few new beauty products too. When I was contacted and asked if I wanted to offer you guys a giveaway of new products from Neutrogena that will launch in 2015—I had to say yes!
One thing I’ve learned about our skin is that it’s not universal. There are so many different types and combinations. Even our ethnicity plays a part. Conffianz, a brand new skincare line targeted towards Latinas, knows all about our challenges.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know how adamant I am about being proud of who you are. This means inside and out my loves. There are so many different things that make me who I am and being Latina is one of my favorites. I come from a long line of amazing and strong women—like my mom. Growing up, she not only inspired me to be whatever I wanted, but even today she continues to support me no matter what I do.
Are you a fan of Shea Moisture? I know there are a lot of you out there who are! I’ve heard the buzz about this brand, but I’ve never tried it. Just so you know, if you aren’t interested in soft and vibrant hair, you might as well just stop reading this post right now. I was sent a few pieces from the Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System to try out. And I can say I’m impressed with how great it works…I can’t stop touching my hair.
