Full Figured Fashion Week…Here I come!

To say I’m excited about Full Figured Fashion Week is an understatement. As a member of The Fashion Front, I can’t wait for the events, networking, and THE FASHION! I am not only ready to show New York a bunch of curvy love, but I am ready to party with my girls!

And by the way…I leave tomorrow night. I haven’t packed a thing. In fact, I’m not even done shopping. LOL. Yes, I’m “that” person. I did finally get my runway finale dress! It’s a very hip hugging kind of dress. I can’t wait to show you. You will also see a couple of days of outfits from the “one and only” Lane Bryant.

I will post every day and tweet my heart out. Please follow me @CurvesandChaos for all the updates. If you’re going to any of the events, please stop by and say hello. I’d love to meet you.

Full Figured Fashion not only means the world to me, but I know it means the world a lot of you. And now, the fashion world will see the mark we can and will make. Just look at some of the recent press it’s received:

FFFWeek Update: Plus Designer of the Year – Monif C.

If there’s a designer out there that knows a woman’s curves, it has to be Monif C. That’s why she was selected as Full Figure Fashion Week’s Plus Designer of the Year. Do I even need to give you another reason why? Just look at her designs, they speak for themselves. Besides, most of them are sold out. That should tell you something.

If you’re attending Full Figured Fashion Week, which I hope you are, you’ll be happy to know that the Monif C. boutique is located in New York City. You’ll actually get to see her famous convertible dress and amazing swimsuits up close. And you’ll know why they’re a curvy woman’s dream come true.

Full Figured Fashion Week “Soiree”

“Soiree” is French for “evening party.” A party in New York City? That’s sounds just about right for this next Full Figured Fashion Week event.

We want to invite you to come out and “join us for an “end of the work week” wind down. Mix, mingle, sip, and chat with in a social setting while continuing our monumental celebration of curves and fashion.”

The Soiree, held on Friday June 17th, is the official night of networking for plus industry officials and the Full Figured and Fabulous runway competition. The contestants will show us their runway skills for chance to win prizes in excess of $5000! What amazing and fierce model will take home the crown?

Full Figured Fashion Week Designer: Marina Zelner of Queen Grace Collection

According to my Full Figured Fashion Week countdown, there are only 28 days left to nothing but fabulousness in New York City. Eeek! I can’t wait! Yes, that was an “eek” from me. I say stuff like that when I am extremely excited about fashion.

I’m looking forward to all the designers that are going to make their presence and feature their designs at FFFWeek.

One of the fashion designers that will be a part of the much anticipated finale runway showcase, will be Marina Zelner of Queen Grace Collection.

Zelner is the founder of Queen Grace and is also a full-figured stylist. According to her bio, she “believes that inspired, graceful, and elegant clothing should no longer be elusive to full-figured women.” Amen to that!

Here are a few of the Queen Grace (left) designs for the debut of her Fall 2011 collection. “Every piece in the collection exemplifies the freedom, confidence, strength and beauty of a contemporary woman.”

Make sure you hurry and buy your tickets before they sell out, because you don’t want to miss out on Queen Grace debuting at FFFWeek! Be one of the first to see this collection and all the other designers looks gracing the runway.

FFFWeek Update…On a boat!

Full Figured Fashion Week is 7 weeks away! I’m sitting here trying to figure out what I’m more excited for during my week in New York City. I think “Curves at Sea” has taken the lead. It’s a “white on white” sunset cruise on the Hudson River. All to celebrate the opening of FFFWeek. They say there will be 3 floors of music, networking, and dancing. Hmmm…I don’t have my white outfit yet, but don’t you worry. I’m already envisioning the dress. Tickets are only $35! Get them at www.FFFWeek.com, along with the other fabulous events.

Will I see you at “Curves at Sea?”

FFF Week-The Fashion Front

Full Figured Fashion Week, the only plus size fashion week, will invade New York June 16-18 and I can’t be more excited. I’ve only attended the Los Angeles FFF Week and it was beyond amazing. I was a part of The Curvy Collective, a group of bloggers chosen to cover the event. This year the name of the group has changed, it is now The Fashion Front and I have been selected as a member again. I am so very honored to be included with these fellow bloggers!

Vote for “The Face of FFFWeek”

It might be New York Fashion week and I do love fashion, but do you know what I love more? Full Figured Fashion Week! And it’s set to all go down again in New York on June 16-18, 2011!

I was lucky enough to be selected as a member of The Curvy Collective in Los Angeles last year for Full Figured Fashion Week(end). It was an amazing experience!

Every time I see founder Gwen DeVoe post something about FFFWeek on Facebook, I get more and more excited! As a matter of fact, they are currently searching for The (New) Face of Full-Figured Fashion Week for 2011. You might remember the stunning Rosie Mercado representing in 2010.

There are over 30 beautiful women vying for the spot! I can’t wait to see who wins!
