Beauty Review: Pantene’s Restore Beautiful Lengths ‘Smoothing Balm’

We’re all looking for that one product that will make our hair not only stronger, but will also give it that brilliant shine. And if there’s one thing we all deal with, it’s the havoc that our daily styling routines do to our hair. Whether it’s blow drying, curling, or flat ironing; we do a lot of heat related damage to our luscious locks. I have always been a Pantene user, it always provided great results at a reasonable price. One day, I was sitting in a chair at the P&G Home at the BlogHer 2010 conference, getting a mini-makeover…

What I Wore: Christmas Weekend

Happy Holidays!! I hope you all had a fantabulous Christmas! I had an amazing time with my family.Christmas Eve was spent with the in-laws. This is the outfit I wore (left). I wore this Lane Bryant tunic, which is on sale now FYI. An H&M scarf , Bali leggings, Lane Bryant bracelets & earrings, and Kensie shoes.I wanted to keep it comfy and I’ve been dying to wear these shoes again. I wore my amazing Sejour Silky Jacket (below) courtesy of Nordstrom on Christmas day, but sadly no photos. But, I can tell you I love it! I paired it…

“Boost Your carma” Carmakoma’s New Film

Carmakoma, an amazing a retailer out of Denmark, has debuted another film to empower the curvy woman. “Boost Your carma” features a modern day Marilyn Monroe in their Spring/Summer 2011 designs.Size is a number – confidence a choiceThe new film ”Boost your carma” is a vivid illustration of the tendency that curvy women all over the world no longer will accept the perception that beauty equals skinny. In an aesthetical manner the film breaks with prejudice concerning body image and attitude for women in plus sizes. The film is created as a visual collage of feelings, states of mind, actions…

Simply Be, Simply Want

I love the recent arrival of the U.K. and Australian plus size fashion retailers coming to the U.S. I had the opportunity to review a few pieces from Simply Be a few months ago and I really loved the style and quality of the clothes. Tonight I just kinda peeked my head over there and I was reminded once again why I love them! If anyone cares, I want all of these pieces.

I don’t know what it is, but whenever the holidays roll around I have velvet on the brain! Seriously, I just featured those velvet clutches and I now I want velvet shoes! I think it has something to do with my mom dressing me when I was little. She put me in a lot of velvet. I love that lady! And now look at me lusting over velvet shoes! Drooling over all of these shoes…(click on the shoe for shopping details).

Misproportioned Fashion

Inspired by the Sejour Zip Jacket (worn here) and it’s asymmetrical zipper, I went on a hunt for a few similar pieces. The Alloy sweater (the first one) is my favorite!According to Dictionary.com, asymmetrical is defined as not symmetrical; lacking symmetry; misproportioned. I think that’s what I love most about these pieces below. It makes them kind of a rebel in the sweater world. Kinda like us curvy girls. Always working against what is considered the “norm.” Don’t you just love fashion? LOL
