Beauty Buzz: Napoleon Perdis Bronze Patrol & Auto Pilot

Fresh off their win for best blush and best primer from BeautyHeaven.com’s Glosscars Beauty Awards, Napoleon Perdis’ Bronze Patrol and Auto Pilot have definitely made an impression in these neck of the woods. The first thing I noticed about Bronze Patrol ($50) was it’s swirled baked powder. It shimmers with gold flecks and leaves an amazing sun-kissed look. All you need is one sweep of this paraben free bronzer. And I found out it’s enriched with Vitamin’s A and C. Now, the Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer ($39) deserves it’s award too. lt’s a very gentle, but effective primer. Just put it on…

Style Trend: Pleats

What do we know about pleats? We know it’s defined as a “type of fold formed by doubling fabric back upon itself and securing it in place.” But, did you know there are 11 types of pleats? I didn’t either! All I do know, is that when I went shopping the other day, I saw a lot of pleated pieces. Oh, and I’m not a big fan of ironing pleats. Too tedious! But, I do love the way they look. I’m kind of eyeing the burgundy Evans pleated maxi skirt (#11). So, what do you think? Are pleats the way…

Hope, Strength & Faith

Curves and Chaos is going pink in October, all to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. I hope to honor the memory of my aunt and all of those affected by this horrible disease. I have a lot planned throughout the entire month. You’ll learn essential health information and tips, what you can do to help, and how you can support the fashion brands out there that are helping the cause themselves. I’ll even have a giveaway each week! My main goal is help educate you, and of course bring awareness. Stay up to date by following me on Twitter or…

This post brought to you by TRESemmé. All opinions are 100% mine. The alarm goes off. You hit snooze. Alarm goes off again. It’s one of “those” mornings. If you feel like skipping a day of shampooing, then you might want to try TRESemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo. It’s a unique formula created to absorb excess oil and remove odors. It rejuvenates hair without a single drop…

Introducing REAL by MYHABIT, A New Shopping Experience

Everyone’s favorite “go to” shopping site, Amazon.com has created MYHABIT. It’s one of the latest “membership-only” fashion sale sites. And they just recently launched REAL by MYHABIT. It’s a series of online sale events offering women, sizes 14-24, the best designer and contemporary brands at up to 60% off. The sales will last up to 4 days, unless they sell out (which can happen!). Today’s sales include dresses from Taylor Dress, denim from CJ by Cookie Johnson (some of my favorites are already sold out), and Z from Zenobia. I’m loving the red blazer by Z from Zenobia. It’s originally $1,350 and…

L.A. Fashion Scene: La Maison de Fashion

On a very hot L.A. afternoon, I made my way to a hidden fashion gem on Melrose Ave, La Maison de Fashion. OK, it might not be hidden to the many fashion stylists of Los Angeles, but it was for me. La Maison de Fashion is style house and boutique.  The space may be small, but the fabulousness of it is overwhelming. I wanted to touch everything. LOL. I really did. But, I didn’t. One thing about La Maison de Fashion you should know is they house various sizes, styles, and designers. And you can shop online here. I was there to…
