Bring out your soft side this spring with lace, flowers, and crocheted pieces. You aren’t the dainty type? It’s OK, you can add a feminine touch to your outfits with a sexy crocheted back, a flower adorned top, or a simple lace dress. Still too much? Try a lace-inspired piece of lingerie underneath your clothes…then you can go from there.
Don’t know what to wear with any of the pieces below? How about pairing any of these tops with a great pair of skinny jeans or leggings. Adding a simple ballet flat will add a romantic touch to any of the dresses below. Not into flats? A nude or taupe heel could work.
Remember: lace, flowers, and crochet don’t have to be your worst enemy.
My golden rule: Don’t forget to keep it simple. You don’t want to look too adorned.

I know…I know…you are tired of all the Valentine’s Day posts. Telling you to wear red and pink on the “Day of Love.” But, have you even thought about showing some love on those cute feet of yours? Represent “V-Day” with shoes? Why not? You love shoes, right? I know, silly question.
Every year I look for the perfect spring dress. This curve hugging beauty might have made the cut.
What a divine dress! This Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique Print Sheath Dress is on my Nordstrom shopping list.
This watercolor design reminds me of a Monet portrait. I guess it is a work of art…a masterpiece…maybe?
The sleek cut and draping, makes a girl like me happy. Puts our curves in all the right places. I don’t know about you, but that’s exactly what I need.
Pencil skirt? Yes, please!
These are from Torrid and they are the definition of glamour.
Love the cut. It reminds me of a fashion era that def needs to return!
I’m not going to lie. I’m really nervous about posting my first outift here. Lol. I think I’m trying too hard to impress you all. I mean…look at me…I cropped my face out because I was making a weird face!! Don’t worry. I will show my pearly whites on the next one.
This was my Superbowl Sunday outfit. I was nice and comfy, but not warm enough. I had to throw on a sweater and scarf a couple of hours after taking this. As you can tell, I’m a bargain girl! And proud of it!
New Look’s ‘Inspire’ line is calling my name. These are a few of my faves. Funny, because I’ve never really been a girly girl, but these fun and flirty pieces are going to have to make it into my closet. There’s nothing like adding a chic and feminine touch to a gray winter wardrobe.
I can’t help but fall in love with these printed dresses I found on your website. I also love that they are available up to a size XXXL. Which is super duper cool in my book. My favorite is the Paisley Tunic Dress and I am already envisioning myself wearing it and feeling foxy fab. Thank you for bringing these gorgeous dresses to my attention, you have made a curvy woman very happy.
Curves and Chaos
My top 3 favorite items hanging in the closet right now.
1. Racerback Knit Sequin Tank, Target
2. Peacock Mini Dress, Faith 21 (Forever 21)
3. Floral Skirt, Target
The tank is so fun and sparkly. I wore it with leggings and a cropped blazer on NYE in San Francisco. It’s longer than the average tank and roomy. Love it! The mini-dress is fun for going out and adding some color to the night. I’m not a fan of the belt, I actually wear a wider belt with it. For some reason it’s not on the Forever 21 web site. I haven’t worn the floral skirt yet, in fact I’m kind of wondering if I should wait until spring. If not, maybe I can pair it with some opaque tights. It has two pockets (which I love) and it’s fun and flirty! I can’t find this skirt on the Target site either. But all three items are super comfy and that’s one thing I look for in any piece of clothing I buy.
The blogs are buzzin’ with Evans’ new ad campaign!
Featuring the top plus-size models in the industry, Evans has caught the attention of many.
Britney Vecchio, Hayley Morley, Crystal Renn, Amber Tolliver and Peeky are the “it” models. They’re gorgeous!
I’m inspired! Here is my Evans Wish List:
Being curvy is more than appearance…isn’t it? You should be comfortable with who you are no matter what shape you are? Growing up I was pretty average. In middle school, my crush told his friend that he didn’t like me because I was fat. And in high school, I was told by my doctor that I was the perfect weight for my height. Yet, I thought I was still fat. I look back now and think…What was I thinking?? I guess we set ourselves up for disaster when we sit there and compare ourselves to others. Something I didn’t realize until recently. (Yes, it takes this long sometimes.)
Today I am the ‘curviest’ I have ever been and not in the best of health. So, I’ve decided to work out and eat healthier to lower my cholesterol and get my curves in order. Does that sound fair? Lol…but I now realize that it doesn’t matter what size is on the tag. It doesn’t matter what the supermodels can fit it. The only thing that matters to me is that I am healthy and I feel good about myself-inside and out. There you have it, my epiphany for the day.
