As a Shopbop partner, I know they’ll have that must-have item I didn’t think I’d need. And I’m always patiently waiting for their next sale. Well, their Friends & Family Event is finally here! I’ve said it before, these sales don’t happen very often. So, when they do, you must take advantage of them. Especially, if you’re a designer kind of shopper. Now is your time to take advantage of 25% off your order with code INTHEFAM25.
#PlusIsEqual is Lane Bryant’s latest campaign with a powerful message! Plus size woman want to be seen and represented in the fashion industry, the media, and in the world. They started by strategically placing a mysterious ad right smack in the middle of Vogue‘s huge September issue. Then came the billboards around Manhattan and “the commercial.” And now, they are set to take over Times Square on Monday, September, 14, 2015 at 12 p.m.
If you follow me on social media, then you know that I was recently in New York. I was invited out by Lane Bryant for a blogger discussion. More on that to come later. But, during this meeting I had a chance to sit at a table with LB President and CEO Linda Heasley. We talked about a lot of things, including a discussion about styling flare jeans. Funny thing was, I actually had a post drafted before I left for this trip. This was just a sign that I had to follow through and write about the latest denim trend.

There are a lot of words out there to describe who I am as a person—inside and out. I try not to get caught up in labels, but I sometimes feel like it’s necessary. Especially, when they can help motivate, inspire, or empower others. That’s why I’m so excited and very proud to work with Simply Be on their latest campaign—#SimplyBeYourself.
There’s just something about an indie designer who isn’t afraid to explore all avenues of fashion. I think that’s why I’m such a big fan of Zelie For She. Elann, founder and designer, loves to step outside of the box and create pieces for every one. Her latest collection ‘Stripped’ is the perfect example.
Can I just have all of the dresses? Seriously, there just isn’t enough bohemian print dresses to go around for me. Whether it’s tribal or paisley, I’m kind of obsessed with these prints. Thank you ASOS Curve for feeding into my obsession. In fact, one of the 12 boho-inspired plus size dresses I feature below has just become mine. Yup, I just placed an order. Can you guess which one it is?
I’m not going to lie. When I think of denim skirts, I instantly time travel back to when I was a kid. I’d rock that denim skirt with my jelly shoes! Yes, I’m proudly showing my age! Well, it looks like they haven’t gone anywhere. I went searching online for some of my favorite plus size denim skirts at every length!

The New York City whirlwind that is Full Figured Fashion Week ended just as I imagined it would—an evening bursting with plus size fashion on the runway. On this night retailers and boutiques had a chance to show us their latest and favorite styles. And we even had a performance from The Glamazons. A big thank you to Fit For Me, the premier sponsor, for having me as one of their blogger ambassadors! I had a seat in the front row with an amazing view of the runway.
Today’s bohemian is known as a free-spirit. Often roaming and traveling the world. Ever since I was a little babe, I’ve always felt I had that spirit. From my love of traveling and never really wanting to settle, to my ever changing—yet flowy style. And when I was putting together this latest look, the spirit was definitely there inspiring me.
It looks like minimalism is going strong with the longline trend. Yes, the name pretty much describes it all—long pieces and clean lines. As you’ll see below. You may have noticed this trend started in 2014 with menswear and only a few pieces for women. But, it really has caught my attention this spring and into summer. My friend Rachel is rocking it here. Of course, I found some amazing plus size longline pieces below. From vests to tops, which one is your favorite?

Oh…swimsuit anxiety. You’re an evil one. Even the most confident women (ahem) get that uneasy feeling when they think of summer and the fact that swimsuit season is practically here. There’s just something that goes off in your head when you know you’re about to parade around others half naked in the bright summer sun. OK, that’s just how it goes in my head.
