To say I’m just a fan of music is a little bit of an understatement. I think music is necessary for me to function. It’s that serious. I love so many genres and eras of music, I just can’t settle on one. I guess I’m kind of like the GRAMMYs—I appreciate them all. And as you know, the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards® will air on February 15th and I was invited to check out the runway-inspired GRAMMY Gift Lounge. Open to presenters and performers during three full days of rehearsals at STAPLES Center, I bumped into Shad Moss (AKA Bow…

Becky G is great at creating catchy Pop songs that you can’t get out of your head. And that’s OK because you actually like her music and don’t mind singing it over and over. It’s been days since I got back from seeing her perform in Miami and even weeks since her exclusive live performance at a local AT&T store. This little chica is talented and her fans adore her! What makes her music even better is she’s a down to earth girl, who is super sweet, with the right amount of fierceness. And I’m happy to share that she has teamed up with AT&T to bring her biggest fans (AKA Beasters) a chance of a lifetime—an exclusive VIP experience.
I feel like every culture has their own connection to music. As a Latina, it was definitely a part of my life from the moment I was born. From family events, cooking in the kitchen, or just hanging out—music was always playing. And I’m not just talking about one kind of music. I grew up listening to mariachis at my grandmas, Classic Rock in my dad’s garage, and Pop music on my Walkman. So, when I got an invite from JCPenney to attend iHeartRadio’s Fiesta Latina in Miami VIP style, I immediately said yes! I found out later that this included getting glammed up in the JCPenney Glam Suite before the show.
If there is anything you should know about me, it has to be my support and advocacy for the fight against breast cancer. And as we all know, October is officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This Sunday, October 4, 2015, I am honored to co-host an event with Lane Bryant and the American Cancer Society at their Culver City, CA location—and you’re invited!
New York City’s Times Square has never seen anything like Lane Bryant’s #PlusIsEqual Times Square takeover! Women of all sizes made their way into one of the busiest places on this planet to make their presence known. And I am so amazingly proud to have been invited out by Lane Bryant to not only experience it, but to let my voice be heard! Of course, I couldn’t leave you guys hanging. I made sure to broadcast the entire event live via Periscope. If you didn’t get a chance to view it…no worries! I have photos and video of that amazing day to share with you right now!
Before I even get started…I would just like to say how BUMMED I am that I’m not going to be able to attend this awesome event happening in Los Angeles this weekend—Sunday, August 30th! **Cries real tears** But, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out! If you’re in or around the Southern California area, you’re going to want to attend. Some super awesome ladies are cleaning out their closets and it’s all for your benefit.
