I seriously CAN NOT believe that Full Figured Fashion Week is only 18 days away!! Did I mention that I am completely not ready? Yes, I’m part of The Fashion Front and I’m unprepared. Wow…it just hit me!
If you’re realizing what I’m realizing then you’re probably panicking like I am.
Do you have your tickets to some of the hottest events??? Go here…
Did you see who will be rocking the runway??? Go here…
If you’re like me, then you know how hard it is to find swimwear that not only fits, but actually looks trendy. And in a color other than black.
We had a chance to meet the entire BECCA ETC team, including head designer Rebecca Virtue. Not only did we see the different styles of swimwear on the models, but we also gave our input on what we like and what we don’t like. For me, I’m concerned with support in the chest area. That’s numero uno in my book. What’s yours?
I’m going to do a separate post with their swimwear line, I just wanted to share these photos with you. We were also given a tour of the facilities and got to try on the pieces ourselves. Everyone was in love with this line!
OK…go ahead and yell at me. I know I’m a little late on this, but I’ve been a busy blogger. If you didn’t already know, I’m headed to the original Full Figured Fashion in New York City as part of The Fashion Front. I’m beyond excited (you’re going to hear that a lot!). Can you blame me?
Will I see you there?
Back to business…I wanted to share the FFFWeek 2012 Industry Awards recipients! Congratulations to you all! Well deserved!!

I seriously can not believe that Full Figured Fashion Week is only 53 days away! I’m beyond excited…if you haven’t noticed. Fashion, Fashion, and Fashion all in one of my favorite cities, New York. Have you bought your tickets yet? Yes, they are on sale now! You can get them here. And if you’re a blogger going to this amazing event, make sure you sign up for the Sonsi Blogger Event.
Celebrate your inner beauty at Sonsi’s “Be-You-Tiful” Pop Up Party at this year’s FFFWeek™! Inside, you’ll be whisked away to a world of fashion, style, and fun (and maybe a little bit of pampering too!) We’re giving you a SNEEK PEAK at some new projects the Sonsi brands have revving up, introductions to the entire Sonsi team, and a chance to mingle with friends – both old & new. All in all, we’re featuring the things that are important to YOU – but with a fun, party twist. Don’t miss out!
If you know me, then you know I’m kind of a worrier. I tend to stress myself out over little things…sometimes. When I was asked to be one of the bloggers to style a few models for a spring themed runway show at the 365Hangers.com Style-A-Thon, I immediately said Yes! Then I sat back and thought about it…what am I doing? Why did I agree to this? I’ve never done anything like this before, so of course I felt out of my league.
Yesterday, I styled two models and I realized I made a lot out of nothing. That’s me! LOL! Ugh…I don’t know why I do this to myself. Thank goodness for amazing friends. They are so amazingly supportive and helpful. And a big THANK YOU to Robin and Shalon for walking in the show for me. Shalon wore a beautiful DKNYC wrap dress and Robin rocked a Jessica Simpson floral dress (both available at 365Hangers.com). And they both worked that runway! It was a lot of fun.
The event was held at Space 1520 in Los Angeles on a drizzly morning, but thank goodness the sun came out! There was music and shopping. Belina, Dama Handbags, Nicolita, and Mr. Kate were on hand. We had snacks from PopChips, drinks from Dry Soda Co., and candy from The Candy Chef! And don’t get me started on my amazing gift bag. Lots of goodies from Argo Tea, Dama Handbags, NCLA, Pure Ice, Chipkos, The Candy Chef, and Mr. Kate. Thank you to the entire 365Hangers.com team…especially Sasha and Ferial. xoxo
Here are some pics I took…had a little fun when editing them. LOL! Hope you like!
My AMAZINGLY beautiful models, Shalon and Robin.
Disclosure: I did receive a complimentary gift bag at this event.
If you’re a regular reader of my blog then you know I’ve been to a few of the Sassy City Chicks events here in Los Angeles, it’s a sample sale heaven! You’ll find fashion and beauty items up to 80% off. You’ll get to indulge in spa treatments and sip on yummy cocktails!
Is Southern California your home? Then you should definitely check it out on April 26, 2012 at the Petersen Automotive Museum. In case you’re wondering, there weren’t really many plus size vendors at the last event, but they have a great jewelry and handbag selection. And there are some pieces that run big and could possible be compared to a size 14/16. I’m hoping (crossing fingers) they find a few vendors this year with curvy women in mind.
Want to join us? You’re in luck! I have 25 tickets to give out! Southern California residents only please!
Be one of the FIRST 25 fashionistas to enter code CURVES at checkout and you’ll get a FREE Sassy Tote Ticket! Includes admission, swag bag, open bar, & more.
Disclosure: This event is 21 years-old and over! No exceptions. This is first come first serve! Void where prohibited. I was not compensated for this post. The tickets are courtesy of Sassy City Chicks.
Hello my loves! I hope you had an amazing weekend. If you did…yay! If you didn’t…boo! I hope this Monday is a lot better for you. Don’t have “a case of the Monday’s.” LOL! I guess lack of sleep is making me a little silly right now.
Anyways…I wanted to share an event I’m participating in this Saturday, March 31st. I will be one of four bloggers helping to style a fashion show at the 365Hangers Style-A-Thon here in Los Angeles. I will send three beautiful models down the runway wearing fashion from 365Hangers.com.
365Hangers.com is an awesome place to score women’s designer fashion at sample sale prices. Seriously…you wouldn’t even believe how amazing the prices are. As of right now, they only offer up to a size 16, but I think there may be bigger sizes in their future (crossing fingers).
If you live in Los Angeles, I’d love to see you! The event is FREE, but you should RSVP here. There will be shopping and complimentary manis. Let me know if you’re going!! Thank you in advance for your support…as always! xoxo
Hi my loves! I just wanted to pop in really quick on this Sunday and let you know that I will be on Plus Model Radio tomorrow! My good friend Chenese will do a quick interview with me. I’m really excited and kind of nervous, even though I’ve been on once before. So, forgive me now if I mess up. LOL! Kim McCarter of Project Curve Appeal NYC, Model Sommer Green, and Stephanie Penn the Editor of Daily Venus Diva will also be on. Visit www.plusmodelradio.com for more information. Hope you listen in! xoxo
That means I get to cover the hottest fashion week around! Yay! If you can’t tell I’m really excited and very honored to be a part of this amazing group of bloggers. And I’m even more excited because I get to go to New York City!! I can’t wait to see what FFFWeek™ 2012 has up it’s sleeve!
Please take a second to check out the list of bloggers below and make sure to visit them!
In Alphabetical Order, Please Meet The 2012 Fashion Front for Full Figured Fashion Week™:
Here are the rest of my photos from MAGIC, Project, and the Pool Tradeshow. Like I had said before, these spaces were so huge! There was such an array of clothes and accessories. Once again, we didn’t get to see everything.
MAGIC and Project were home to fashion brands, while the Pool Tradeshow was more of the indie designers and brands. It was amazing. Ivory (www.ivoryjinelle.blogspot.com) and I had a chance to chat with the ladies over at Nation LTD. They’re really passionate about their plus pieces that you can find at Nordstrom. That’s very inspiring! I also fell in love with the fringe handbags from Ember Skye at Project. I loved the colors!
And I died over the jewelry from Cosmic Thread and Designs by Alicia P. at the Pool Tradeshow. The jewelry was very unique! Loved it. I had such an amazing time and I can’t wait for my next WWDMAGIC visit!
Here are more photos from MAGIC’s FN Platform. I don’t think you ladies understand how many shoes there were! We didn’t even cover the entire thing. I know my feet would’ve of been dead at the end of that day!
I was most impressed with Betsey Johnson and Charles Whittington. Of course I always love a fun shoe like Betsey Johnson, but I was loving the double stiletto by Charles Whittington. Isn’t it cool? It’s trademarked people…so don’t try to steal it! Just love it!
Footwear News (FN) collaborates with MAGIC to bring over 1,500 labels together, in men, womens, juniors, and kids shoes. It was insane! Not only were there established brands, but there were also new brands I couldn’t get enough of! A group of us bloggers were given a little tour around where we met up with the designers and people of Pour La Victoire, 80%20, Coye Nokes, House of Harlow, and Foot Petals.
It was so awesome to be able to get a sneak peek into their fall collections. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take photos of all the shoes. But, I did take a lot of photos of others. I decided to break the up in a few parts over the next few days.
