Los Angeles’ Fashion’s Night Out in Photos

Ohhhhh Fashion’s Night Out…you were an interesting one. The Beverly Center (right around the corner from my house) was the scene and the FNO events were on everyone’s mind. Of course, I was late…but I made it just in time for the fashion show. The mall was packed and I realized I forgot my camera after I entered the parking structure. All of my pics are courtesy of the trusty old Blackberry. Read more

Land’s End University @ BlogHer’12

School is back in session ladies…well that’s what Land’s End wanted us to experience. They sent a few bus loads of us to Land’s End University when I was in New York last week at BlogHer. We had report cards and everything! Ty from Gorgeous in Grey and I hung out on a very hot afternoon checking out some of their latest collections, including plus sizes. Read more

My Favorite FFFWeek Runway Photos

Phew!! I’ve finally uploaded all of my Full Figured Fashion Week photos to the Curves and Chaos Facebook page! View them here. It felt like it took forever, but it was sooooo worth it! I rediscovered my love for photography and can’t wait to start taking a few classes and investing in equipment. Watching these models walk down the runway, I was so inspired to capture every moment. I’ve gathered a few of my favorite runway images below.  Read more

Cult of California Launch Party

Are you a fitness fashionista or looking to become one? Cult of California recently had a launch party for their collection and it was pretty awesome. Held at the infamous Writer’s Room in Hollywood, invited guests were treated to black licorice flavored candy, music by Betty Ninja and the Nunchix, and a runway show.

Jen Wilder, the designer behind Cult of California, has given us fitness apparel you won’t be afraid to wear at yoga, Zumba class, or running errands. The line is definitely fierce with edge. I have a lot of favorites…don’t think I can choose just one. Check out the collection today…oh…and they are now accepting pre-orders!

FFFWeek 2012 “Sonsi Be-YOU-tiful Pop-Up Party”

Full Figured Fashion Week 2012 was jammed pack with activities for bloggers, which I loved! I mean, come on…we’re the voice of fashion in the social media world. But, of course, that’s just my opinion LOL! I know one brand that appreciates that and definitely knows it is Sonsi. If you’re living in a cave and don’t know who they are…they’re an online marketplace destination that offers shopping and socializing for women sizes 12 and above.

Sonsi hosted the “Be-You-tiful” Pop-Up Party for us bloggers and it was so much fun! Not only did we get a look at some of the latest fashions from Sydney’s Closet, S.W.A.K, and Catherines, but we took pictures, won prizes, got mini-manicures, and makeup touch ups! There were a lot of fashionable bloggers there too.

Of course I have pics for you…

Full Figured Fashion Week 2012 “JMS Style Breakfast”

And the photos keep on coming! Yes, I told you I took over 2,000 photos…I was not kidding. LOL! On day two of Full Figured Fashion Week, we were invited to a breakfast by Just My Size (JMS). We got a look at their summer collection and a sneak peek into their fall/winter line. I’m loving their undies!

We chatted and ate yummy food. It was also a great way to meet the JMS team whom I’ve been working with. They’re so great and dedicated to dressing the plus size woman.

Are you a JMS fan?

Full Figured Fashion Week 2012 “Curves In The City” Shopping Event

Who doesn’t love shopping? Really? The Full Figured Fashion Week “Curves In The City” shopping event was pretty much what I needed at this point. I snatched up a beautiful Queen Grace dress for $34! In my world, that’s pretty exciting!

Vendors sold clothes, jewelry, beauty products, and accessories. I even got a bra fitting by Cacique, which you should get every 6 months by-the-way. And don’t get me started on the cake pops I devoured courtesy of MYNT 1792-they definitely have my attention right now.

Of course, I was snapping away…here are more pics!

Full Figured Fashion Week “Curves at Sea” All White Sunset Cruise

As we waited in line to board Full Figured Fashion Week’s “Curves at Sea” All White Sunset Cruise, all I could think of was how beautiful everyone looked. Of course, I was also looking to see how many of these beautiful ladies were wearing the same thing, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were only one or two repeats. Yay! I know it was hard to find what I was going to wear. LOL!

The cruise was so much fun with the Sonsi Photo Booth (that I missed), the swag bags, and the FFFWeek Big and Tall Male Fashion Showcase. The ladies were definitely loving the men! There were giveaways, dancing, and a beautiful view as we cruised around the island of Manhattan.

I snapped a few photos below…I’d love to know what you think! Were you there? Will we see you next year?

Full Figured Fashion Week 2012 Press Event

PHEW!!! I’m back from Full Figured Fashion Week (FFFWeek) in New York and I’m exhausted! LOL! But, it’s a good kind of exhausted. Let me just start off my saying, that if you haven’t made it out to any of the FFFWeek events, then I highly recommend you trying to attend next year. It was such an amazing experience!! To see fashion for us on a runway  in New York City never gets old!

I was a member of The Fashion Front, a selected group of bloggers to cover all of the FFFWeek events. We were given early access and behind the scenes look into all of the plus size happenings. I did take over 2,000 photos while I was there. I will try to post them daily…I ask for mega-patience! LOL!

On the first day, I attended a special press event at 320 Studios (the terrace was amazing). It was a packed house! Most of the designers that were showcasing were in attendance and the press had a chance to meet them and get a sneak peek into their collections. It felt like a reunion as I ran into so many friends, but also met a lot of great people along the way. Take a peek at a few of my photos below!
