In 1989, Designer and CEO Michele Bohbot launched her collection Bisou Bisou–French slang meaning, “a little kiss.” If you’re a JCPenney customer than you might have seen some of her designs in-store. I had a chance to ask her a few questions about her line, where she draws inspiration, and of course the plus size collection.
I know summer is still here, but when you’re a fan of Shopbop and they tell you about a handbag sale…you already start planning for fall. OK…at least I do. Right now, they are offering 20% off select “classic” bags with code: INTHEBAG If you’re a regular designer handbag shopper, then you know you can’t pass up something like this. I just finished watching the season premiere episode of Project Runway and I can say it was one of my favorite episodes EVER. Did I ever tell you how important indie plus-size fashion designers are to this community? They bring creativity, quality, and detail to their collections that a lot of big brands sometimes miss. Not to mention blood, sweat, and tears. As you know, Elann Zelie of Zelie for She is a personal friend of mine. And she is so passionate about her line and creating stylish clothing for plus-size women. So, when she asked if I’d be interested in modeling a few of her pieces, of course I said yes!
