Did I ever tell you how important indie plus-size fashion designers are to this community? They bring creativity, quality, and detail to their collections that a lot of big brands sometimes miss. Not to mention blood, sweat, and tears. As you know, Elann Zelie of Zelie for She is a personal friend of mine. And she is so passionate about her line and creating stylish clothing for plus-size women. So, when she asked if I’d be interested in modeling a few of her pieces, of course I said yes!
If there’s one thing I love about Elann Zelie, the designer and founder of Zelie for She, it’s her passion for her craft. I know her personally and I can tell you that she loves what she does and it shows in her designs. And if you haven’t checked out her latest collection then you’re missing out on some fabulousness. Just saying. Read more
There will be a time in our lives when we need “the” dress. I’m not talking about a wedding dress either. I’m talking about a special occasion dress or evening gown that is classy, chic, and constructed beautifully. I think designer Tadashi Shoji was born so he could create these designs for us and bring them into our fashion lives. Just sayin’! Read more
Are you in love with this designer as I am? Just so you know, I am always and forever in awe of Oscar de la Renta. He is one of my favorite designers when it comes to classic and elegant fashion. Unfortunately, he doesn’t create plus sizes, but I can definitely use his designs as inspiration.
Last week I just happened to catch the live stream of his Resort 2013 runway show. Of course I looooooved it. Below are some of my favorites pieces. If I ever become a billionaire and get married again, I’m definitely getting him to design my wedding dress! Here’s to dreaming…
I know I call myself a bargainista, but there’s nothing wrong with looking at beautiful designer pieces. In fact, they give me so much inspiration for the upcoming seasons. I have always been a fan of Fendi. This Italian super design house has never really disappointed me. Their Spring 2011 line was a stunner at Milan, and of course I am eyeing all of their hot accessories. All that red is killing me!!
Time flies in the world of fashion, it is now Milan Fashion Week and the Italians are rocking it!! Here are a few of the handbags from Gucci’s Spring 2011 collection. The braiding is exquisitely glamourous. I wouldn’t expect anything else from one of the world’s best luxury designers.
Bottega Veneta Fall 2010-Milan
Fendi never disappoints when it comes to their accessories. Their Fall 2010 handbags are no exception. The Milan runway showcased the gorgeous Fendi design with classic silhouettes and pops of color. I’m banking on mustard as the “it” color for fall. What do you think?
You’ll have to excuse the enthusiasm, but I love big fun hair. I always think of the time my bff teased her hair out in Las Vegas. She looked like an extra in a 80’s rock music video. It was awesome. Now, imagine how much I loved the Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2010 line that graced the London runways. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Oh…btw…be prepared for big hair to be a hot spring trend!
