City Chic’s Pretty Frilly Chiffon Dress

The minute I saw City Chic’s Pretty Frilly Chiffon Dress I knew it was destined to be mine. This is what I wore on Mother’s Day. I was a little surprised when I got the dress, because it looks white on their web site, it’s actually an ivory color. It fit great and it was really comfortable. The ruffles on the chest are so cute! I did change the patent leather belt out. I wore this Betsey Johnson belt instead. This photo was taken at the end of the day. I didn’t realize how white my legs are, I need … Continue reading

Pretty Cardigan in Pretty Peach

This may surprise you, but I used to hate wearing bright colors. OK, you might have heard me say that before. But, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I’m still on the fence about bright colors, but one of my shopping partners in crime is slowly getting me out of my “dark clothes comfort zone.” On a side note…I just went back and took a look at my old outfit post and I wore a lot of grey and black! Today, you are my witness as I vow to start wearing more color!! Yes, you heard it here … Continue reading

A Little Off…the Shoulder

Let’s get sexy for a moment.  I was once told, by a guy, that a woman’s shoulder’s are very sexy. I thought about what he told me, when I started noticing off-the-shoulder tops. I’m going to be honest, I’ve never been a fan of them, but these are kind of changing my mind. With or without the straps. I can see myself wearing a top like this with a pair of skinny jeans or capris. I don’t know which one I like the best, it’s too hard to choose just one! Which one is your favorite?  1. Simply Be $65 … Continue reading

Maxi Dress Heaven with City Chic

I’ve already told you I’m obsessed with maxi dresses this season. And this one from City Chic is no exception. I wore this at the opening of the About Face exhibit and I never felt more sexy. Seriously, it’s a va-va-voom dress in the chest area. Meaning, it showed a lot of cleavage. LOL. The dress is no longer available on CityChicOnline.com. Sorry, but there are tons of other pretty dresses. I paired it with gold earrings, a black cascading cardigan, Nine West open-toed pumps, and my new fave Melie Bianco clutch. I wore the dress again on my birthday … Continue reading

Tracy & City Chic on the Latin Billboard Award’s Red Carpet

Guest post written by Tracy López of Latinaish.com I was invited to the Latin Billboard Awards and red carpet, courtesy of Telemundo. One of my first thoughts after receiving the invitation, (after, “OMG! I could meet Espinoza Paz or Pitbull!”) – was, “What in the world am I going to wear?!” A smart friend recommended I contact Monique for advice and Monique did me one better – she hooked me up with CityChicOnline.com. They asked me to pick a dress, so after consulting about a dozen friends about three different dresses I liked on their website, the choice was obvious. Overwhelmingly … Continue reading

What I Wore: City Chic’s Passion Flower Maxi

What do you wear on a sunny day in Los Angeles? A maxi dress! Not just any dress, but the Passion Flower Maxi (on sale $30) by City Chic. The Australian fashion retailer is really impressing me with the fit and quality of their designs. My hubby picked this dress and I’m so happy he did. It’s the perfect length for my 5’6 height. I really liked the slight draping in the front and the ruched band on the bust. My favorite part of the dress is the fact that it actually fit me in the chest area without falling … Continue reading

What I Wore: Hispanicize Conference

Last week I attended the Hispanicize 2011 right here in Hollywood. It was their 2nd Annual PR & Social Media conference. I had an amazing time networking and reconnecting with my friends. I was asked to sit in on a panel of Fashion and Beauty bloggers. I was pretty nervous. There were four of us up there and I couldn’t help but stress how brands and companies are passing up opportunities to work with the “plus size” community. I also made sure to tell the audience, that I don’t sit here telling you what to wear. I just give you … Continue reading
