Since the crazy, mad busy, and stressful holidays are here, you’re bound to have some sleepless nights. And what comes with lack of sleep? Puffy eyes! Sorry for the reminder. I’ve been all about my eyes lately. Trying this and that, but I came across the Mary Kay Indulge Soothing Eye Gel recently and I wanted to share it with you.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know how adamant I am about being proud of who you are. This means inside and out my loves. There are so many different things that make me who I am and being Latina is one of my favorites. I come from a long line of amazing and strong women—like my mom. Growing up, she not only inspired me to be whatever I wanted, but even today she continues to support me no matter what I do.

I know I’ve said a million times how much I love colder weather. Of course, there are some downsides to it. One that I honestly can not stand is what it does to my hands. I am that person who is tortured with dry, cracking, and itchy hands in the winter. Yup, that’s me. My big ol’ paws (courtesy of my dad and I wouldn’t have it any other way) are not happy when dealing with chilly weather. I can happily say goodbye to the torture because I’ve discovered Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream and took their 7-day challenge.
Are you a fan of Shea Moisture? I know there are a lot of you out there who are! I’ve heard the buzz about this brand, but I’ve never tried it. Just so you know, if you aren’t interested in soft and vibrant hair, you might as well just stop reading this post right now. I was sent a few pieces from the Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System to try out. And I can say I’m impressed with how great it works…I can’t stop touching my hair.
It’s no secret that I’m not a makeup professional. I wasn’t even allowed to wear makeup until I was 17, although that didn’t stop me from wearing it at school and taking it off before I got home. My mom never showed me how to wear it and what not to do. In fact, my makeup life has been one stumbling block after another. Learning as I go.
By now you’ve seen a lot of people painting their faces like sugar skulls in honor of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). These calaveras de azúcar are sweets that are normally sold in Mexico in the days and weeks leading up to the Mexican holiday—November 1-2. Urban Decay sent me some a few of their products to help create my own simple sugar skull makeup look.
Sometimes your skin just needs a quick scrub to brighten and wake things up. Especially, after a rough summer. I definitely think it’s what my skin has been missing. Maybe that’s why my friend Yong, co-founder of Protective Nourishment, gave me a jar of her skin care line’s Blueberry Scrub Mask. Of course, I had to try it out. My skin was begging for it.

When my aunt was battling breast cancer, she lost her hair due to the chemotherapy. But, that didn’t stop her from being her fabulous self! With a smile that lit up any room she walked into, she wore beautiful scarves and wide brim hats instead of the wigs they offered her. Turns out she didn’t like how fake the wigs looked. That was a long time ago, way before the launch of the Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign.
