I have a little blogger confession. Sometimes, I have a little bit of a problem reviewing beauty products on time and in season. For example, I was gifted this ColourPop In Bloom collection ($39) by Celebrity Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg in the spring. It is now the middle of summer and I’m just getting around to trying it out. Oopsie…I don’t really follow makeup trends anyways, so I guess it’s no biggie. These shades are always in season for me!
Where are all of my beauty lovers at? I’m not talking about just loving beauty, but I mean like beauty obsessed. Like, you watch YouTube makeup tutorials and beauty hauls religiously. And you can name 5 beauty gurus right now off the top of your head. Yeah, I’m definitely talking to you. You are the perfect candidate for BeautyCon. This past weekend, I made it over to BeautyCon Los Angeles and it was definitely an experience!
Oh summer, you are so awesome—when you’re not blazingly blinding me. Actually, I’m kind of happy with the mild weather you’ve given us Angelenos this season. Still, I find myself dealing with a few summer beauty issues. Am I alone here? I doubt it. Thank goodness for these three essential summer beauty fixes I found for my peskiest problems.
Finding the best skincare isn’t always the easiest thing. That’s why I love introducing you to different beauty products. Hopefully, you’ll find one that’s a perfect fit for you and your skin. Maybe this summer it will be Block Island Organics. They recently reached out and sent me their Organic Purifying Facial Cleanser, Organic Revitalizing Night Cream, and Natural Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 to try out. And even gave me a discount code to share with you (no I won’t make a penny from it).
Ahhhhhhhh…summer is officially here. I know a lot of you are really happy. Maybe a little too happy to face this blazing heat. I’m not going lie, it’s not my favorite season. But, living in L.A., I deal with it. I really don’t have a choice. And as the weather changes, so does my beauty routine.
I love a bright and bold red lip. Don’t you? Believe me, I know it’s not for everyone. I just get bummed out when I hear my friends saying that they can’t wear bright lipstick. My response? “YOU CAN wear bold and bright colors!” Yes, you can! This summer is the perfect time to get adventurous. I even created a new Pinterest board to inspire your future lipstick looks. I’ll be updating it often, so make sure to follow that board if you’re on Pinterest. So, which one of these bold shades will you try this summer? Follow Curves and Chaos™’s board Lipspiration on…
In this world of blogging, I love getting a chance to try out new beauty products. Especially, those that were created with purpose. RITUALS, whose collections are based on Eastern traditions, is also based on the idea that “happiness can be found in the smallest of things. We transform your everyday routines into moments of indulgence by means of beautiful and luxurious products.” I was sent their True Happiness Gift Set and I can see it making a great gift for the beauty lover in your life.
Beauty technology is pretty amazing. We have so many gadgets today, you basically have everything you need to make getting ready a lot easier. Maya of MayaInTheMoment.com recently visited me and I let her borrow my new Kiss Instawave Automatic Curler. Let’s just say she kinda fell in love with it. So, I asked her if she wanted to do a review and she said yes. I love this girl! Take a look at her video review below and let me know what you think in the comments section below. Will you be purchasing this “Lazy Girl” product (as Maya calls it)? Disclosure:…
Think about if for a second, how much does your nose and it’s ability to smell play a part in your every day life? A beautiful scent can bring you immediate joy and pleasure. I know when I smell something that reminds me of my childhood, I’m all smiles. And unpleasant scents…well…we’ll just leave them at unpleasant. I had a chance to try out two new products from CLEAN that left me smiling.
It’s beauty confession time. For the past few years, I’ve used nothing but liquid body washes when it comes to bathing. I haven’t used bar soap in a really long time. OK, not the craziest confession, but it sounds weird admitting that. All we used growing up was bar soap. In fact, I don’t even know why I stopped using it in the first place. Well, looks like it may be back in my bathing routine since Yardley London Nourishing Elements Artisan Soap sent me a few bars to try out.

Let’s be honest, allergies suck. If you suffer from them, then you know what I’m talking about. I developed mine later in life. I often deal with sinus pain, itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing (to name a few symptoms). Whenever my allergies hit, I don’t even want to get ready in the morning. Because, I know I’ll be dealing with what they call ALLERGY FACE®—puffy eyes, redness, watery eyes, and even dark circles. But, these are problems of the past. Because, I keep five of my beauty must-haves ready to go!
