Guess who loves their SOHO 4-Piece Train Case? Meeeeee! Do you want to know why I love it? Well…let me tell you why. I travel a few times a month and taking my make up with me has kind of been a hassle. I can’t take my heavy train case with me when I’m flying. It weighs too much. But, I can take this with me. It’s so easy to pack!
It’s part of their cosmetic bag collection. It’s a soft train case and it’s so awesome! Inside the case there are three separate organizable cases. I used it when I went to Las Vegas and it really came in handy. All my make up fit and then some. I haven’t had to clean it yet, but it’s seems like it’s easy to clean. And don’t worry about spending too much on this, it’s only $17.99. Sounds good to me!
L’Oreal Paris has done it again…winning me over with the EverCreme hair care collection. This is especially for you ladies out there that are tired of fighting with dry hair. You know who you are.
This collection stands out because it’s a Sulfate-Free Moisture System. If you’re like me, then you probably didn’t know that sulfates are very harsh on your hair and can leave the fibers dry, dull, lifeless, and weak. It’s also free of heavy waxes that can coat your hair and weigh it down. It’s also Paraben-Free (yay!) and 100% Vegan.
I’ve been using the EverCreme Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner for two weeks now. I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to tell a difference in my hair, but I was so wrong. My hair not only feels soft and looks shiny, but it instantly felt lighter. It was a crazy feeling. I never noticed how weighed down my hair felt before.
I’m not a fan of the vanilla, amber, and cedar wood scent, but I’m picky about that. It doesn’t smell bad or anything, I just love hair products that smell clean or fruity. And it doesn’t lather up as much either. Hmmm…maybe that’s what weighs our hair down too? OK…I’m not sure about that, but it’s something to think about.
Despite me being extra picky (LOL), I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It’s caught my attention and if you’re curious, I’d really recommend trying it.
Every time I pick up this brush I feel inspired. The “Power” Paddle Brush by Sarah Potempa reminds us why we (and our hair) are beautiful. The words “Empowerment, Ambition, Strength, Beauty, and Love” are proudly displayed on the back of the brush. It’s a great reminder at the start of each day.

Sabrina recently revealed, “I’m obsessed with L’Oreal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes mascara. It’s fantastic to use when there is no time to use false eyelashes. It gives you the same appearance in one quick step!” – Sabrina Soto
It has a combo of super-fine nylon and rayon fibers that attach to your natural lashes. covering them from root to tip with an exclusive polymer in the formula. And I really love the 40-degree angle of the brush. This mascara instantly makes my lashes appear fuller, longer, and it curls them. And I have five of the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes to give away to you! ENTER BELOW!
Thanks to L’Oreal for sponsoring my post about my favorite beauty looks, tips and tricks! Check out Makeup.com for beauty advice from the experts.
My name is Monique and sometimes I’m kind of a makeup wimp. I’ve always been a simple kind of girl, never stepping out my box. I’ve always stayed with neutral safe colors when it comes to eye shadow. Actually, I just started using eyeliner a few months ago. I know…I know. I’ve never claimed to be a make-up guru, just a girl experimenting.
With the holiday season upon us, I know I’m going to be going out a lot. So, I really want to try a bold eye. Now, a bold eye for me may be a simple eye for you. LOL. As soon as I got my hands on some L’Oreal Paris goodies, I knew they would be perfect for experimenting.
I was really excited to try their HiP Color Truth Cream eyeliner (on the upper lid), the eggplant color is so pretty. And because it’s a cream, it went on really smooth and easily with the liner brush that’s included. I’m also in love with the Double Extend Eye Illuminator. One side is the black eyeliner, which I used on the outside bottom lid, and the crystal side on the inner side of the bottom lid. It adds a touch of brightness to my eye.
Like I said earlier, this is a bold daring look for me and I’m pretty happy with the outcome. Now I’m looking forward to my next bold look. Oh Oh…I might have unleashed a beauty monster! Maybe next time I’ll try brighter colors. What would your recommend?
When you dare to try a new look, what do you concentrate on? Eyes, lips, or hair?
Only 30 more days until 2012! I bet you haven’t thought about that huh? Well, whether we like it or not, it’s coming! The years may come and go, but our love for beauty products is forever. I mean…how many of you are faithful to one brand? What has worked for you and what hasn’t in 2011? Thinking about all of this made me even more curious than I normally am. Inquiring minds (like mine) really want to know! Please take a minute to answer my poll!
I’ve included the top makeup and cosmetic brands, but I know there are more out there. If you don’t see your favorite listed below, please feel free to add it. What brands were your favorite in 2011? I can’t wait to see the results!
And because there are a million fragrance, hair, and skin care brands out there, please feel free to leave a comment below telling me your favorites of 2011. The next poll will ask you what your favorite Plus Size Brands of 2011 are!
Have you ever watched one of those “As Seen on TV” commercials (a.k.a. infomercials) and thought…Why didn’t I think of that?
That’s exactly how I felt when I saw the Turbie Twist commercial for the first time. And when I finally got my hands on one, it was confirmed…I should of invented this!
I’ve been throwing my wet hair up in towels since I can remember. And when you’re hair is soaking wet, it takes for ever to dry and you have a heavy towel on your head. My hair is long too!
Not with the Turbie Twist. I don’t want to sound like an infomercial, but when I used it for the first time I was kinda in love. It’s so comfortable and easy to put on, I kind of forgot I had it on in the first place. And because this new one is made of microfiber, my hair did dry a lot faster. It’s a one size fits all, machine washable, and affordable.
I will admit I haven’t washed it yet, so I’m not sure of the quality after the wash. But, for now…it’s doing its job.
Take a look at the commercial below:
Have you ever tried the Turbie Twist? What do you think?

When you think of natural beauty products, you have to think of The Body Shop. They have been creating products with natural ingredients for years. All they want to do is “enhance your natural beauty and express your unique personality.” I’m all for beauty products with us in mind. And I love trying out new products with values like this.
We believe there is only one way to be beautiful, nature’s way.
I had a chance to try out five new products below.
1. 100% Natural Lip Roll-On: This lipgloss is mint-a-licious. It goes on nice and cool, with it’s metal roll-on ball. And it makes your lips glossy. Available now.
2. Hemp Moisturising Hand Wash: If you like the smell of hemp, then this is definitely your kind of hand wash. It is moisturizing and it’s made with Community Fair-Trade hemp seed oil. The scent does last for a while too. Available October 2011.
3. Almond Hand & Nail Butter: You already know how I feel about body butter, well this is made especially for your hands and nails. It smells so yummy and goes on nice and thick. It is made with sweet almond oil and Community Fair-Trade brazil nut oil. Available October 2011.
4. Extra Virgin Minerals Foundation: Any product with the word “mineral” it, doesn’t catch my attention. I’m afraid it will be too light and not provide coverage. This foundation was light, but it did cover. And it left a dewy fresh look. Available September 2011.
5. Wild Rose Hand Cream: I’m going to be honest, I’m not a fan of anything rose scented. In fact, I originally didn’t want to try it. But, I tried a little bit and it’s not overwhelming at all. It smells like an actual rose, with a powdery finishing scent. This is made with rosehip oil and Community Fair Trade brazil nut oil. Available October 2011.
The Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter (Available starting October 2011): Yay for hair butter!! I finally wanted to try and I did. It wasn’t as thick as I thought it would be, but that didn’t matter. It still made my hair soft. I used Rainforest Radiance “sourced from the seed of the pracaxi tree which grows organically in the Amazonian rainforest, a few drops of this oil turns even the most difficult hair into manageable, shiny strands, boosting softness and helping you style and comb your hair easily.”

What’s your favorite Body Shop product?
Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. The products were compliments of The Body Shop. The above is my true and honest opinion.
OK…I have this thing where I’m kind of anal about lotions that are not only thick and creamy, but actually moisturize. There’s nothing worse than putting on lotion and two seconds later your hands feel drier than than they did before you put it on! That’s my little lotion rant.
That’s why I’ve been really obsessed with body butters lately. If you haven’t tried a really good, rich and creamy body butter, then you’re dry skin is really missing out. It’s way better than a cream or lotion. It’s thicker, giving it a luxurious feel. I will warn you, most of them will not dry quickly, thus giving you that “greasy” feeling. But, I kind of like that when I’m slathering it on.
If you haven’t figured it out, I love experimenting with different beauty products.
Body Butters range in price and come in different scents. There are a ton of brands out there, including organic and natural. It really is up to you to try them out for yourself. My first experience was with Clinique’s Deep comfort body butter and that’s pretty much what got me where I am today.
Wait…I just saw something called “hair butter?” Oh snap! I have to check that out. In the meantime, take a peek at the few body butters I found below. Do you use any of them? What do you think?
