Do you ever have those days where just don’t want to get out of bed and get dressed? That was me on Saturday. It’s been a little gloomy here in L.A., maybe that’s why.
Good thing I got my butt out of bed, I was invited to the P&G Orgullosa de mi Belleza (Proud of my Beauty) event at the Sunset Tower Hotel. It was such a great afternoon of pampering.
I got my hair and make up done with Pantene and CoverGirl products. Then I had a hand massage with Oil of Olay body lotion and a neck massage. I was in heaven.
I also had a chance to meet Celebrity Makeup Artist Rebecca Restrepo. She gave me some tips on how to create a cat eye, without struggling (LOL). We even walked out with a gift bag full of P&G goodies!
The outfit I wore was just thrown together at the last minute. The cardigan is from H&M, the navy top is from Macy’s, jeans are Levi’s Curve I.D. straight leg from HSN, my shoes are Kensie’s, my jewelery is from Lane Bryant, and the handbag is courtesy of Shoedazzle.com.
Disclaimer: Entry to the event was free along with the products. The above is my true and honest opinion.
It’s Wednesday and I I feel like I’m still trying to recover from this weekend. I attended an art gallery exhibit on Saturday night, featuring some beautiful curvy women. You’ll hear about that soon.
Sunday, was a day filled with fashion and beauty. I was invited to the Retail Camp, which was held at Woodbury University. It was a two-day conference that brought together apparel and retail industry professionals, bloggers and designers. They taught them how to use technology as a marketing, business and brand development tool. I was only able to attend a half-day and it was very educational. Marie Denee The Curvy Fashionista and Jeanine Jacob of The Coveted, along with other top notch fashion bloggers were part of a panel called “The Business of Blogging.” It was a great look into the minds of successful fashion bloggers.
After the conference, I headed over to Kurvee, the shopping and beauty event. I met up with a bunch of other bloggers and we had so much fun. There was not only shopping, but there were beauty treatments as well. The weather was amazing as we sat on the patio waiting to see if we won any of the giveaways. A big thank you to the organizer, Tamika. You outdid yourself.
It was a greatly needed event and I thank all the vendors and sponsors for being a part of it. We had Haute CurVture, You by Crocs, Curvy Divas Rock, Belini, Chinese Laundry, Phoenicia Goddess, Sealed With A Kiss Designs, IGIGI, and many more! A portion of the proceeds went to Pushing Pink Pedals, they work with at risk women and teens to help build self esteem and empowerment through makeup. I seriously can’t wait for the next one. You should too!
Hello ladies of Los Angeles!! If you haven’t bought your tickets for tomorrow’s shopping and beauty event Kurvee, then you’re going to miss out on shopping, beauty treatments, dessert sampling, FABULOUS GIVEAWAYS and so much more! It was created specifically for you, the “Kurvee” fashionista!
I will be there along with some amazing vendors and sponsors. You have a few hours to buy tickets today HERE, but you will be able to buy them at the door as well. But, make sure you get there early, only the first 100 guests will get swag bags.
I hope to see you there!!
