I’m on some kind of holiday hair kick! Yesterday’s holiday inspiration post had me thinking of where I could find some really cute hair accessories. I started looking and found a lot of great ways to dress up my hair on Christmas! I found some great pieces at Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, Nordstrom, and ASOS. Read more
Update: They do carry plus sizes now. You can find them here.
I’ve told you all a million times before, one of the reasons I started this blog was to be able to share with you my love for fashion and shopping. And although I love to give you the inside scoop of where to find my favorite plus size fashion pieces, I’m also in love with accessories. I think ModDeals.com knew this when they contacted me. I love fashion…trends always come and go, but there are just some that never leave or make a full turnaround. Those are my favorites. They’re reinvented, like the brooch. It’s always been here…but now they seem just a little bit cooler. And I love Nordstrom’s new feature on them! Read more

Sunglasses + me = Love. I adore them and they are one of my favorite accessories. I was doing what I do best…online window shopping on a Saturday night and I ran across a few pairs that really caught my eye. And they all happened to be oversized. In a Jackie O kind of way of course. But, I was watching Scarface and Michelle Pfeiffer was rocking them too. Loved her style in that movie! Anyways, back to the sunglasses. I can already see myself wearing them this spring and summer with my favorite maxi dress. It’s time to find that perfect pair.
Do you see yourself wearing oversized sunglasses?
I was able to browse through the different frame styles, shapes, and colors; all while using their “Virtual Mirror.” You get to “try on” the prescription glasses virtually and even send the photo to your friends.
I filled my prescription, chose the lens, and what coatings I wanted so easily. I will say that you do have to search for the exact dimensions of your glasses. Not every frame comes in your size. For example a few of the frames I liked weren’t available in my bridge or temple size. But after some searching, I found these.
And with shipping and handling, I only paid $82.95! They even offer a 110% lowest price guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
You’re probably going to ask yourself why you’ve never heard of them…I did the same thing. So, if you’re looking to buy glasses head on over and check out GlassesUSA.com. You can take advantage of their generous refer-a-friend program too (You can get $30 for each first purchase a referred friend makes – and use the $30 towards your next pair of glasses)!
Disclosure: I was NOT compensated for this post. I did receive a gift card towards the purchase of these glassess, courtesy of Glasses USA. The above is my true and honest opinion.
Yay! It’s the first day of fall and I can’t wait for the weather to change. I’m already thinking about cold weather accessories! Go ahead and blame it on the new Bloomingdales catalog.
I saw this yummy-licious MICHAEL Michael Kors Twist Neck Warmer that is definitely on my shopping list.
I know it’s L.A. and it doesn’t get that cold, but it doesn’t hurt to be fashionably prepared. LOL. Me and my excuses to shop!
Here are a few more MICHAEL Michael Kors accessories that wouldn’t hurt to have.
Tory Burch has always caught my eye, especially with that logo! I’m sorry, I’m not normally about logos, but I can’t help but look when I see someone wearing one of her pieces. Especially if it’s an accessory.
I have featured Tory in one of my first Style & Designer pieces here.
I was doing some research last night for the next issue of Plus Model Magazine and I couldn’t help but fall in love every time I saw one of her handbags. So, today I went looking for a few pieces and found these.
She’s keeps everything so classic and clean. Something I really appreciate when it comes to accessories. I would take everything here, because I can’t choose just one.
Although, the boots are kind of calling my name.
What would you rather wear, the flats or the boots?
You can call it a tribal, aztec, or even southwestern print. It actually reminds me of a sarape. That’s a brightly colored mexican blanket or shawl, by the way.
I remember having a blanket like this as a teenager, but that was in my anti-bright color days. So, it was taupe, black, and white. Whenever I look at these, I feel like go to Tijuana and buying a few of those blankets. LOL.
Ove the past two days of shopping, I’ve seen the print every where. Especially, in the handbag world. I even bought myself one today at Old Navy. I also saw a lot of ponchos in this sprint. It’s really boho chic or is it surfer girl?
Whatever it is, I like it! Do you?
Who wants to be my friend? Anyone?
Fine! Then you’re not got getting a friendship bracelet from me. I’m sorry but that’s the new rule around here. LOL.
OK…that’s really not the rule, but you should grab one for you and your BFF. I bought this Lauinger bracelet from Aldo yesterday. I kind of feel like I’m 12 again.
I only plan on wearing them with a casual outfit. Wait…did I just by myself my own friendship bracelet? Well, I am my own best friend.
If you don’t want a style like this one, take a peek below. The Juicy Couture bracelet is pretty cute.
You can even dress them up! Look at this great DIY my friend Kelsi from Dedicated Follower of Fashion created.
What do you think?
Are friendship bracelets for you?
I’m always so curious as to finding out exactly what fashionistas like when it comes to accessorizing. I’m a true believer that just one accessory can liven up any outfit. Especially if it’a nude or tan dress, like the T-Bags mini-dress below, and the accessory is a much needed pop of color. But, that’s just me. I want to know what you think…(read below)
