I’m a fan of all seasons. Especially right now when the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and my favorite flowers are blooming. It inspires me in so many ways, including my Spring wardrobe. The colors seem to get brighter and bolder. And as you’ll see below, I’ve been in a mood to wear blue. It turns out finding a dress in my color of the moment was a lot easier than I thought. With the click of a button on CATHERINES.COM, I found two pieces that I could style in more way than one—perfect for anyone’s busy Spring season. One thing you’ll see they both have in common, besides the color, is the shoulder baring trend. Yes, it’s all I want to wear right now. Can you blame me?
Maxi dresses and I have a relationship unlike any other. The minute I saw this boho beauty, I knew it had to land in my shopping cart. It’s a brighter color than I’d normally wear, but that made me want it more. I decided to style it with my favorite pair of casual sandals, silver jewelry, and a fun floral clutch. I’m 5’6 and the length of the ruffled hemline hit just right where I’d want it to. I could even wear a pair of wedges and still be happy with the length. The material of the dress was lightweight, soft, and crazy comfortable. I can see myself wearing this to a lot of places, including my next brunch or even a picnic.
I’m going to be completely honest with you: I wasn’t sure about this dress for me. It’s been years since I’ve owned anything in a paisley print. But, I really wanted to step out of my fear of trying different prints. So, I went for it and I don’t regret it one bit. Because the maxi was a little more casual I figured this dress would be fun to style for a night out. I grabbed my black wedges, a color-block clutch, and gold statement earrings. There’s no reason to limit this dress for just one look. I can see this being worn more than once.
Make sure YOU SHOP CATHERINES for your next Spring dress. They have lots to choose from and they offer sizes 0X-5X and 16W-34W.
